we visited for breakfast last week. excellent local produce, prompt polite service, good atmosphere. although conditions were extremely hot, the staff were helpful and cheerful. very good value, and easy to see why this place is always so busy. Highly reccomended *****

Staying in Newmarket over the weekend we were recommended a few places to eat by local people, this being one of them. Situated inside a shopping arcade area it initially doesn't look that pleasing from the outside but don't let that put you off. The service was good as was both the choice of food & quality at what I... More

We dined at The Pantry for both breakfast and dinner pre and post a day at the races. The breakfast was super with high quality ingredients. Dinner, where we dined at the bar because no tables were available was also excellent. Scallop starter was lovely, the rib eye steak and lobster we both had for mains were superb. My husband... More

We pre ordered a wicker hamper filled with amazing treats including champagne, local meats and cheeses, fresh bread, salad, pickles scones cream and jam and fruit tarts...Packed invitingly into little boxes... On our return when we still had our desserts to eat, we returned the hamper and stayed to enjoy them with a wonderful cup of tea (on the house).... More

Popped in with some friends after hearing good reviews and we where so happy we did. A small but interesting evening menu with a specials board. No beer on tap but nice bottles of Adnams ghost ship and nice selected of wine. I heard they do cocktails but no menu in sight. I had a heart salad that was just... More

Not only was the food some of the best I have ever had in a restaurant, but what's more, the menu choices are simply excellent and very inspired. It is rare these days that I go to a restaurant and can't decide what to have because there are so many dishes on the menu that I'd really like to try.... More

dropped into Newmarket to find some food on a long journey and, by a fantastic bit of luck ,came across this place right away and were fitted in at the bar. Delightful staff, delicious food and a really happy buzz in a very full restaurant. We only had time for a drink and a main course off the daily specials... More

Wow what a place, excellent little deli stocked with a fantastic range of local cheeses and other treats. The place was heaving I did struggle to get a seat but got plonked at the bar near the open kitchen and I was not disappointed. I had a fabulous three course meal and bottle of plonk (with my wife or course)... More

Although there is a deli counter in the corner, this is a proper restaurant. Don't come in here for a toasted teacake and a currant slice. It is modern, lively, friendly, and well worth a visit. The menu gives an interesting choice, and you can see all your food being cooked before you. We ate there on a Monday, but... More

We left home early to see James Blunt at Newmarket Race Course so we decided to pop into the town and grab a bite. Lucky us we found this lovely restaurant. We had a lovely meal and the service was fab too. Highly recommend everything about this great little gem!
