Description: Squires Restaurant at Bedford Lodge Hotel has undergone a stunning...
Squires Restaurant at Bedford Lodge Hotel has undergone a stunning refurbishment and menu overhaul. The walls are adorned with carefully selected pieces of art mostly conducive of still life which bring the artistic decor into being. The vibrant colour scheme of rich raspberry and subtle lime combined with the amazing food, make for a charismatic ambience, especially during the evening when the lights are dimmed and the lanterns are glowing. This intimate restaurant is perfectly suited for long, leisurely chats over a bottle of choice Sauvignon or other pickings from the vineyards of France, Italy and the New World. The expertly selected wine list is enhanced by the eclectic menus and delectable selection of dishes. Whether it’s business or pleasure, a light lunch with friends or romantic dinner for two, Squires Restaurant is a recipe for success. Staff who aim to please, chefs who deliver and management who know how to manage... the ‘proof is in the pudding’, as they say.

Great breakfast with a good selection of products. Comfortable seating and quiet atmosphere except for the guy sat there on his mobile at 7 in the morning! Mobiles should be banned from decent restaurants so please take note!!!

Lovely service and great choices -I particularly enjoyed my 10oz steak cooked to perfection with Béarnaise sauce and hand cooked chips.

The approach to Bedford Lodge, particularly at night, is quite elegant. Once you enter you are faced with the decor you see in the pictures above, quite out of keeping with the period of the building. The prices are high, and for £29 I had lobster, from the specials menu. Half the pleasure in eating lobster is cracking the claws... More

Sea bass starter is truly excellent. Staff are great. Open and fresh dining room. Unfussy. Beginning to meet top standards in the region.

We have eaten here several times, and it never ceases to amaze me how good the food is not only presented, but how fresh it is, using only local produce and finest ingredients. "if your staying at the hotel, you must tick the box at this one!" Superb!

Yes it was. We both had fillet steak and it was out of this world. A nice atmosphere in the restaurant and good friendly service. Nice wine list too with very reasonable prices.
