It was a hot day so we sat outside by the lake. Grounds are kept well and the new lodges look appealing. The menu is different and offers a set lunch deal. In hindsight we probably wouldn't have gone here if we had seen the set menu firstly as it wasn't the kind of lunch we wanted. We later found... More

Had a really delicious dinner with friends. The chocolate and raspberry dessert really hit the spot and should be left on the menu ..... The service could have been better - although everything was served up with a smile - but the staff seemed to lack a bit of confidence/knowledge but with a bit more training the small "oops" moments... Haven’t been this pleased by a restaurant in a long time. Can’t really find anything to fault, lovely location on a summer evening, relaxed, professional excellent service and food. 3 super courses with a truly marvelous bitter chocolate and raspberry sorbet for dessert

Returned for a Sunday lunch again with high expectations of the new chef. The food did not disappoint- it was sublime- especially his take on Cullen Skink- delicious. All staff we met were polite and knowledgeable - I was very impressed that the young bar staff could explain all on the menu instead of the often usual reply -'I will have... More

My wife and I like eating out and finding high quality food, one of our favourites is Pea Porridge in Bury St Edmunds. Tuddenham Mill was recommended by a work colleague (since they recently changed their head chef) and I honestly cannot thank him enough. It was simply sublime (and we have eaten at Michelin restaurants in London). With superb... More

We had the Saturday set lunch menu which was £16.50 for two courses, £19.50 for three courses. The welcome to the restaurant was professional and warm, we had a lovely pre-lunch drink sitting on the terrace in the sun. The restaurant itself is well presented with tables set nicely apart. The food was very good and the mussels to start... More

We were hotel guests staying on a reduced room rate provided we ate in the hotel's restaurant one night. This suited us well after a long journey and we took advantage of the £19.50 early bird dining menu (3 courses). Excellent value, superb food, original and varied menu, first class service and in a beautiful old converted mill. Tables on... More

At twice the price our three-course lunch would have been memorable but at £19.50 was exceptional for the quality of cooking. To start I had sea trout (not a fillet but a surprisingly delicious mousse) and lightly pickled vegetables. My main course was lamb with spring vegetables. The meat was uniformly tender with just enough surface char to up the... More

I have lived in the UK for 14 years and have travelled all across Europe as well and as an American, I have to say that the level of service that my party received was more than exceptional! From the minute we walked in, we were greeted with smiles. Not just from one person, but the entire staff. It's not... More

We stayed for two night and had the taster menu on the first night. The room was lovely but unfortunately I had forgotten about the 'romantic turn down' that was included in the room as I booked it months before. It was not mentioned to us on check in or asked which night we would like it. So on returning... More
