This restuarant always cooks and prepares it's meals fresh, so they can take a little longer, up to 40 minutes. However they do some great deals and every meal I've had has been really good. Well worth popping in.

My elderly husband grew up in Long Melford so we decided to stop by here to have something to eat, whilst on holiday in Ipswich. In his youth, he remembered it to be a place not many people wanted to be seen in but we were surprised at how nice the place was. The staff were very pleasant and made... More

We ate here twice during our stay. Staff were friendly, service was quick. Menu was simple pub grub but food was very tasty.

We stopped here because our B&B didn't have WiFI, and found it linked into a superior WiFi service that exceeded our hopes. The staff were were really helpful too, in setting it up, and the ale and food turned out to be good as well. One of the better inns that we have attended. We'd go back and feel comfortable... More

After two weekends of being disappointed with pub meals we tried the Cock and Bell as we had my brother staying. It was great. We got served in a reasonable time for a Saturday lunch time when the pub was packed and the food was hot and well prepared. It was also reasonably priced. One pub we have found that... More

This pub always seems busy, usually a good recommendation. The food is good and service is friendly and reasonably fast. The menu is very much a typical pub selection, but there is a wide choice from light snack to full meals. They have several bargain items on the menu if you both choose the same item.

We popped in on the off chance on a Sunday, looking for a spot of lunch. The barman/Manager was very friendly and welcoming. The food was standard pub grub, which was well presented and arrived quickly. Enjoyable, in fact we went back a couple of days later. It was busy but the restaurant is laid out so that it is...
