We had densely packed sandwiches, huge homemade scones with jam and clotted cream and enormous slices of cake served beautifully on old china plates on a lace tablecloth -exactly how a proper tea time treat should be served. The service was very friendly and cheerful and the price was modest. What could be better?

We arrived in Lavenham too late for a pub lunch, and only got in here at the second time of asking, as it was a very busy Saturday, the last before Christmas. Two of us had the club sandwich, which was excellent and very filling. The upstairs rooms are well worth a look and the service very friendly. I had... More

We called in for a 'light lunch '. Everything about it was good. A delicious bowl of soup with a hunk of cheese , chutney and a warm, soft cheese scone. My husband had a cheese sandwich which was generously filled with cheese, onion and chutney. The coleslaw was very tasty, crisps and salad too. What a way to spend... More

We had been recommended to Visit this quaint village by my Sister while on our trip to England and it did not dissapoint one bit. Our need for a cup of Tea had us stopping at this house/restaurant because of its shape and history. Well one look at the food did it for us and we just had to sample... More

What a quant lovely place for afternoon tea and scones. It was a really nice experience and something I would recommend if you are ever in Lavenham. You can also walk around the ancient timber framed building.

Beautiful little tea room, friendly warm welcome. Scrummy afternoon tea of generously filled smoked salmon sandwiches (choice of fillings), delicious scone, jam & cream and a lovely choice of cakes....a big pot of tea. Staff couldn't have been more helpful. Just perfect.

Enjoyed a visit to this delightful tea room. The cakes and scones were delicious and it was a lovely place for a well earned rest and a pot of tea.

This is a lovely place for afternoon tea. The cakes are delicious and so is the tea. The only downside is the slow service. Maybe an extra person in the kitchen would help.
