A wonderful well priced lunch

We sat down for a quick sarnie and a slice of cake having not been able to get a table in the hotel/pub down the road in this quirky old tea room. It turned out fate was on our side as we were treated to some lovely food and very warm hospitality. I would definitely recommend this place if you... read more

We stopped by for an early lunch and tea. We did not plan ahead with a reservation. Fortunately for our party there has been a no-show. We were cold and hungry so we over ordered. I ordered the leek cauliflower soup as a starter. It was smooth and rich with the right amount of flavor. One of my daughters had... More

Beautiful old fashioned little tearoom. Probably the best scone I've ever tasted with clotted cream and jam. The whisky tart was also fantastic. As was the tea and smoothie. I would go out of my way to come back here!

I really enjoyed my first visit to this beautiful, quaint tea room. My pot of Assam tea and massive fruit scone with jam where delicious. Friendly and helpful staff. The décor is traditionally authentic, as are the crockery and cutlery. It was pleasantly surprised with my large jug of milk as other establishments never give enough with a pot of... More

We had travelled to the Cock Inn at Lavenham only to find it closed for refurbishment - the website did not have a notice to that effect. Munnings Tea Room provided us with welcome sustenance on a very cold day - although the menu was sparse.

We had densely packed sandwiches, huge homemade scones with jam and clotted cream and enormous slices of cake served beautifully on old china plates on a lace tablecloth -exactly how a proper tea time treat should be served. The service was very friendly and cheerful and the price was modest. What could be better?

We arrived in Lavenham too late for a pub lunch, and only got in here at the second time of asking, as it was a very busy Saturday, the last before Christmas. Two of us had the club sandwich, which was excellent and very filling. The upstairs rooms are well worth a look and the service very friendly. I had... More

We called in for a 'light lunch '. Everything about it was good. A delicious bowl of soup with a hunk of cheese , chutney and a warm, soft cheese scone. My husband had a cheese sandwich which was generously filled with cheese, onion and chutney. The coleslaw was very tasty, crisps and salad too. What a way to spend... More

We had been recommended to Visit this quaint village by my Sister while on our trip to England and it did not dissapoint one bit. Our need for a cup of Tea had us stopping at this house/restaurant because of its shape and history. Well one look at the food did it for us and we just had to sample... More
