Sometimes a few words are enough: the atmosphere is gracefully old fashioned; the cream tea outstanding; the service kind. We loved it.

A charming place to have lunch. Munnings has a feel of elegance about it but in an attainable to us all sense. The food and drinks we ordered were lovely and the atmosphere was serene and welcoming. The setting just made us feel very relaxed and the service was polite and friendly. A nice hour to wind away the afternoon.

Delicious sandwiches, wonderful warm scone served with clotted cream, strawberries and jam, we were so full we couldn't eat the lovely cake, so were given it wrapped up to take home with us. The service was warm and friendly, the tea room was charming. We went for a special celebration and we weren't disappointed - a most delightful afternoon.

Went here with my friends in need of some refreshment. All had the cream tea which was the best ever, the scones had just been baked & were warm when served. This is a must for any visitor in Lavenham. Service was so friendly as well.

True English experience... Coffee and Pecan Cake was to die for, cheese scone with red onion chutney and cheddar cheese also incredible...the best scone I've ever had- hands down. Very traditional cakes and desserts all baked in the house. Charming setting in a historical, crooked house in central Lavenham. Friendly service and generous portions.

A really cute little tea room in an amazing building. It isn't cheap but the cake was delicious and you are paying for the location as well as the food and drink. If you want something cheap get a cake from Greggs in Sudbury! This is a lovely little place and a great little treat.

Just popped into this quaint little tea room for a sandwich and ended up ordering an afternoon tea which my husband and I shared. I can't express enough how tasty the whole experience was. We had full size egg & watercress sandwich to share, beautiful warm scone with jam, cream and then the most enormous slice of carrot cake! We... More

This was a quintessentially british experience of afternoon tea. The whole place is reminiscent of sitting with your grandma, trinkets and suffolk paintings on the wall with gingham table clothes and tea-coseys. I had an egg sandwich on granary bread with kettle chips and coleslaw, while my friend had a prawn sandwich with the same accompaniments. Both were delicious, the... More

Had a lovely cream tea and sandwich whilst on a visit to Lavenham. This is a superb 'tea room'. Hot scone with generous portions of butter, jam and cream. The sandwich came with delicious home made apple coleslaw. Tea came in a large pot that had sufficient tea bags for a decent/strong brew. Everything was nicely presented, friendly service and...
