This is a lovely place for afternoon tea. The cakes are delicious and so is the tea. The only downside is the slow service. Maybe an extra person in the kitchen would help.

Brilliant a great choice of homemade cakes, scones, afternoon tea, sandwiches, teas and coffees. Lovely black and white cottage with interesting antiques and things to buy

A very pretty tea room in a beautiful old building in the main street of Lavenham. Fantastic choice of cakes with large servings - not to be visited if you're on a diet!! Friendly and attentive staff.

My Mum and I decided to eat here during our visit to Lavenham after I read excellent reviews and we were not disappointed. The tea room is an old house so you feel like you are having lunch in an rather eclectically furnished living room. It was certainly a cosy and friendly atmosphere. We opted to share an afternoon tea... More

Called in for coffee and cake whilst in Lavenham this week. Chose to sit outside (nice comfy cane chairs with cushions) and a lovely warm welcome. Ordered coffee for two and a huge pot with plunger arrived. We were even asked whether we'd prefer milk or cream, ah, bliss. Also ordered one slice of Yorkshire curd tart. This too was... More

We had lunch here one day while staying in Lavenham. It is a charming little place, full of character in one of Lavenham's little wonky buildings. The food was actually very good. Traditional items, sandwiches, homemade cakes, afternoon teas, etc. But quirky is the word - the place is packed to the gunnels with obscure decor and items for sale,... More

Visually this place is full of character, unfortunately for us that was the most positive part of the experience. The Assam tea I ordered was tea bags which for an establishment like this is unforgivable, the cake my friend ordered seemed very dry. There was only one person serving and each time we were served last to other people coming... More

We visited late afternoon on a week day. Beautiful ambience, tea cloths and tea service laid on the tables, the cakes and specials are chalked up but we opted for the Afternoon Tea from the menu. The lady taking the order warned us that this was quite large and tbat we might like to share. She wasn't joking , our... More
