Booked a table following a flyer I received for the new season's menu.... Couldn't wait for the pork belly....was unavailable! So called in for lunch a couple of weeks later for garlic med prawns (as advertised on menu outside)..... Ordered prawns - quelle surprise! No prawns! So we just took our coats and left.

Eight of us ate here after a family wedding at the registry office. It was very convenient only a short stroll away. The lunch was excellent, good atmosphere with great food and good service. I did not pay so can't assess value for money

I went with a party of 4 for a late dinner on my wife's birthday. The restaurant allowed us to book off menu items when making our booking and we ordered 2 dover sole along with hake and monkfish which came from the standard menu as our main courses. My fish soup starter was excellent the others enjoyed their starters... More

Any one who's been to the restaurant before will know what to expect. Formal French, a little old school and over the top service, & lots of fish (which suits me well not being a meat eater). My wife & I had popped in for lunch, fixed price 3 course menu and a bottle of wine for the two of... More

The moment you enter is the beginning of a delightful experience. A restrained, but personal and forthcoming, welcome from the front of house puts you immediately at ease and in relaxed anticipation. Service is impeccable, food superb and so beautifully presented you feel (almost) reluctant to 'desecrate' with knife and fork! The waiting team personify calm and charm. Maison Bleue... More

My husband and I went here for our wedding anniversary and absolutely nothing disappointed. The menu was great, the service was outstanding and the food was the best I have had in a very long time. We chose cheese to finish our meal and our charming French waiter brought over a trolley with the biggest array of cheeses for us... More

My wife and I decided to treat ourselves to a night out in Bury at the end of a week away with daughters and grandchildren. We did enjoy our evening but found the dining experience here a little mixed. First the good points:- The greeting and service were charming from all the young waiting brigade and especially from the French... More

We had a fabulous meal here last night. We ate from the A la carte menu, I had King Scallops for a starter followed by Hake, my hubby had fresh oysters followed by Cod. Our meals were so delicious, the quality of the food is superb! like a top London restaurant. I can't really put into words how good, you... More

I always go to this restaurant for special occasions. It is my favourite eatery in Bury St Edmund's. The food is excellent and the service very poised. There is a good range of fish dishes which I love as I don't eat much meat. The wines are all carefully chosen with a range of prices. The atmosphere is intimate masking... More
