Definitley come here before going to Starbucks

This is a lovely, small, cafe with a beautiful view of the Abbey gate and Angel Hill. Very good coffee and tea.

I popped in for cream tea with visiting friends yesterday and had rather an unfriendly welcome from the waitress on this occasion. With such an unprofessional attitude, we had no choice but walk out which was a shame as they serve delicious cream teas. Our disappointing experience was however overcome by the warm and courteous greetings and service at nearby... More

If you want to have a good cup of coffee I suggest coming here. However, do not expect the service to be prompt and you may have to enquire over your coffee/food as they tend to forget you have ordered

As normal, the most delicious coffee I have ever had, efficient staff and wonderful atmosphere. Goats cheese panini always hits the spot and served so quickly, but obviously all fresh high quality ingredients. Great selection of food, drink and cakes as always. Feel good place through and through. Well done Annette and wonderful staff for making this such a lovely... More

My mum was visiting yesterday, so we did some shopping and was looking for somewhere for a light lunch. Came across this little gem and am so glad we did! I had an absolutely divine cheese scone. Was the size of my head, served warm, with butter, onion chutney and little cubes of cheese on a little side dish. Yummy!... More

I had visited previously and was impressed. Decided to take my partner for a light lunch and coffee. I had the best sandwich I have ever tasted - freshly made and lots of filling. The staff are very pleasant and helpful. What was intended as a quick lunch before doing a multitude of things turned out to be special. I... More

My wife had a fruit scone , it came with... More

This is a great place for drinks and cakes, the hot chocolate is especially nice and is my son's favourite. The cakes are home made and tasty, we have tried the victoria sponge and mars rice crispy cake. We haven't tried the lunch menu but it looks nice.

Lovely coffee and lovely service - you just can't beat a privately owned place for that extra touch. Great range of teas as well. Only gripe is that it's fairly small and, as a result, they don't comfy sofas - mainly tables and chairs. But.... only a minor thing.
