Great little place

This place is perfectly situated opposite the Abbey Gardens. The good news is that it is not part of a huge chain. We had coffee and a herbal teal plus a scone and an excellent cherry flapjack. Busy coffee shop next to the Abbey Gardens. Seating was a bit cramped but OK; there was a queue and I was told that it was not even that busy. Nice tea and buns. Efficient service; overall very nice.

Whilst on a shopping trip with my mum we came across 'really rather good'. The cafe was busy but we got a table ok. We had a pot of tea and a scone each. Good selection of tea. Our scones were fresh, tasted home made. Served with jam and clotted cream. Delicious! Our only negative was that our table wasn't... More

We stopped in for lunch in this cozy restaurant across from the Abby ruins. The paninis were delicious and the corner location perfect for people watching on a rainy day. We returned for breakfast and enjoyed one of the best scones I've ever had. They offer a variety of teas and coffees, sandwiches, salads and baked goods. Service was prompt... More

When in Bury St. Edmunds, do visit Really Rather Good for breakfast. I recommend the Eggs Benedict and my 17 year old son devours the Sausage roll! It is also good for a quick lunch while shopping. I like their homemade Pork Pies - a half is enough, my vegetarian wife had the gluten free wrap with egg and salad.... More

Love the coffee, it really is rather good. Good selection of reasonably priced snacks. I've had Guinness and Chocolate cake and lovely smoked haddock pate on different visits. Basically if I'm in Bury St Edmunds and I want good coffee this is where I end up.

Nice little coffee shop, independent, dog friendly. Food was ok, bit expensive but not too expensive. Tea, was good, hot chocolate was ok too, however the coffee was not so, way way too hot even when you ask for it "not too hot" if you know coffee you should know it should not be boiling hot, mine was, which makes... Popped in on a busy Saturday morning, greeted by friendly staff who made us very welcome. Bacon sandwich, full cooked breakfast and a serving of the fluffiest American pancakes I've seen in ages. Great selection of teas and coffee and fresh rose flavoured lemonade. In short this is everything a teashop should be. I'll be back!

Popped in here on a Sunday afternoon for tea and cakes. What a disappointment, the service was random so say the least. We had to sit at a very dirty and small table which was too near the door, giving one of our party a knock every time someone new came in. Others fared worse off than we did with... More
