Location is great, service is good, but cafe itself is very small. While it does offer outdoor seating, it's not shielded from the weather. Selection is decent, and it serves breakfast almost all day!

Whenever I visit Bury I will always make sure to visit. The service is very friendly, it is always very busy and the food and cakes are lovely. During a recent visit I tried the homemade butternut squash and sweet potato soup which was delicious. Absolutely recommend this place. Beats High Street chains hands down.

I went here on Remembrance Sunday. The coffee was excellent. The atmosphere was friendly and there was a group of staff behind the counter who obviously got on well together, they were animated and happy. That makes such a difference! I understand it is under new management since I last went there ... The surroundings are cosy, to say the... More

Enjoyed lovely service and a great cranberry flapjack. Coffee was good as always. One of the few independent coffee shops in BSE.

Visited one Sunday lunchtime. Trade steady. Superb pork pie, sandwich and pastries. Coffees really good too. A wee bit expensive but food quality justified it. Some outside seating, though quite small inside and might get a bit cramped if busy. Nice view onto the square. Staff very pleasant. Nothing bad to report.

The first thing I'm going to mention is what rubbish regarding problems with families. There were several families with children, babies and infants when I visited and they were all made welcome... obviously the parents could cope and didn't expect the world to owe them something. The food, atmosphere was great. In addition this was indeed the best coffee I've... More

I've been to RRG many times and I return for the position overlooking the prettiest square in the east of England, and the really quite good coffee and the excellent tea. The cakes are good too. The sandwiches are.. erm, variable. The last one I had was full of gloopy stuff, more gloop than smoked mackerel, and not to be... More

We visit RRG on a Sinday morning. The person at the counter was rude and clearly annoyed that I had not read that they do not service breakfast on weekends. Why do they not serve breakfast on weekend? The cappuccinos were not real cappuccinos. Just milky weak coffee with a bit of foam on top. The bacon sandwiches were nice.... More

We had one of the best lattes here, not too milky but very rich and tasty. So our experience was fine but the couple at the next table were not so happy and complained that their tea was too strong. We can only take it as we found it and it was good, the service was excellent and the atmosphere... More
