Wonderful choice for coffee and cake

This is such a delightful find. We live in Bury St Edmunds but for some reason we only found this coffee shop recently. Large selection of homemade cakes, tea and coffee and family run with polite staff. We had the best sandwiches I think I've ever had. Highly recommend for daytime refreshments.

Excellent café; we had lunch here. Waitress service and nice seating. We had sandwiches which were superb; generous and delivered within minutes even though the place was quite full. The peppermint tea was excellent.

I came here some time ago and wrote a bad review, however the owners response made me feel that I had got it wrong. So I met a couple of friends here for lunch and I had got it completely wrong. The service was excellent and the food was lovely. The adaptations that were requested by my friends (had not... More

We popped in here on Wednesday to grab a quick bite and a cuppa. Service was efficient and polite. The tea came in two big pots and was enough to make 3 good cups each, The cakes are homemade, we had the Dundee Cake and a simple Tea cake. Again very tasty. The plan was to have a breakfast but... This place has a massive selection of sandwiches (and toasted) with some interesting combinations. They are a decent size and very very fresh. Not cheap but you get what you pay for. We did not go there but if you want an old fashioned pud they have spotted dick or treacle tart! Maybe next time.

We visit here regularly and they have sandwiches (Gluten free of course) with a little more interest than the bog standard cheese and grapes. Very understanding with the needs of gluten free diets and very helpful manager. Staff could be a little more attentive and keep their gossip a little more private perhaps. But always a smile and prompt service... More

We love this little cafe! Their drinks, breakfasts, lunches, and cakes are all lovely and really tasty. The food cooked by Dean and his chefs are really excellent and an example of how cafe food should be. We've enjoyed several breakfasts, morning coffees, and lunches here over the last few years (we try and go whenever visiting Bury St Edmunds)... More

The moment I stepped in this coffee shop I felt relaxed and at home. The interior decor gives it a homey feel, so unlike chain coffee stores it made you feel welcome. The menu had sandwiches and toasties with a range of fillings to choose from. I ordered smoked mackerel with brie and it was just fantastic! All were served... More
