This is a lovely old pub with a restaurant serving excellent and interesting food. The pub is beautifully decorated and a delightful place to linger. For the quality of the food, I found the prices reasonable.

I have just found my favourite restaurant in Bury St Edmunds! I have been to The One Bull for drinks before but never had food. Today I went in with my sister for a pint of their scrumptous elderflower cider and asked on the off chance if they had a table for two (on a saturday night) as we were... More

Went here with my mum on a day trip to Bury. The staff were very nice, the food was reasonably priced and tasty, bitter from their own brewery was good.

Service was excellent, food was superb and my favourite wine on ice will be back very soon. Cannot fault at all 10 out of 10!

I read the reviews on Tripadvisor before booking a table for 2 for Saturday night. The reviews seemed very favourable but we found the portions to be small and over-priced. Either the prices should be lowered or the portion sizes increased. The main courses while tasty were not filling at all. The ambience is a bit sterile.

Upon entering, the venue worryingly looked liked just another vanilla, atmosphere-free gastropub but the beer was well kept, the food hot and freshly cooked and the waitress was lovely.

This is an old building but the restaurant area is open plan with a contemporary feel. The waiting staff were polite and helpful, the service was prompt and the food was excellent. I had the sea trout with leeks and crushed potatoes, while all three of my companions had the Suffolk ham with egg and chips. Simple food, cooked well... More

Poped in for a quick snack. £7.00 for soup and a sandwich. Fantastic I got the fish finger sandwich. I thought they would be the small frozen ones how wrong I was home made chicken soup and big chunky fish fingers, and the elder flower cider yum yum

Those who know, me understand my passion for the 40 wines by the glass at the One Bull, they recently won a national award for their wines. I also love the clam chowder I have had it 7 times in the last few days. The sauce is nice the amount of sea food just right ,I only have the starter... More

I recently dined in the One Bull, yet again, but this time took a manager of a large restaurant and inn chain. He was extremely surprised at the whole ambience of the Inn. After we had been shown to our pre booked table he was so impressed with the menu, design, type face, staff uniform, staff friendliness , service he... More
