We knowthat not everyone wants the same thing from a pub. You might want a pint of local real ale at the bar ... A bottle of wine and a grazing board on the sofas ... A meal in the dining room ... A really good coffee and a read of the paper ... Take your pick. If real ale is your thing, look no further. We offer our own Brewshed Best Bitter and Pale Ale plus a couple of guest ales. We're passionate about wine and have created an award winning list Which offers a selection of old favorites combined with some more unusual and quirky wines. The common theme is did we believe They Are all well made wines offering good value for money. Every single one of our wines are available by the glass (except some champagnes). On the food side, the emphasis is on good quality, seasonal produce and, wherever Possible, we source it locally. We love Sunday lunch and offer a great roast - bring the family or meet up with friends and catch up on your way. We're open from noon until late. So if you're in need of a locally roasted coffee in the afternoon, you know where to come. Free wi-fi is available Throughout the pub. What about the kids? Children are welcome in the bar before 6pm and 8pm in the restaurant but evenings are just for the grown ups. Our kids menu is Important to us. It is Aimed at children under 8 and each dish is freshly prepared. You can therefore order a roast pork or beef kids on Sundays. Where Possible, we are very happy to prepare smaller Portions from our main menu. Baby changing facilities, high chairs, activity sheets and crayons are available.

Excellent Sunday lunch (again)

We went back to the One Bull again for Sunday lunch after trying other resturants in the area and once again Naomi and her team delivered an excellent meal, all 5 of us had the beef which was cooked to perfection, the pud grazing board was enjoyed immensely by one of our Sunday club members, so... read more

It was just ok, like there Cudugen Arms .. Ok but nothing special. Simple things like have the Ham Hock Starter and looking suprised when asking for some bread with the remark "it does come as an extra" and messed about vegetables when it's not necessary .. Potatoes were cold .. Just an ok experience really

We went for a three generation family meal and this was an ideal location. It feels much more like a restaurant with a drinking area than a pub. The waiting staff are young and friendly, they found crayons and a colouring sheet which the youngest generation enjoyed quietly while we had a drink before lunch, sitting on comfortable sofas by... We regularly visit The One Bull and have always had good meals. Last night we came in for the first time with our 3 month old daughter and couldn't fault the food or service. The staff are so friendly and welcoming and the definitely serve the best steaks in Bury. The chicken liver parfait was amazing and crackling with Apple... More

Came in for an evening meal, quality of food didn't disappoint. However not a big fan of having the veg offered as an additional side order. Overall perhaps a little on the dear side for what was basically pub grub.

We came to Bury with friends from Cambridge just for a day away. I looked here to find a nice place to have lunch! I found this wonderful gastro pub/ restaurant. The lady behind the bar was very welcoming and found us a table quickly. The menu had a great variety. I had the soup and sandwich offer so did... More

I visit quite often with all styles and types of friends and family. That is what makes the One Bull a good choice, you can visit with your Gran, Girlfriends and/or Children. Menu changes and the bar snacks are delicious.
