We queued with two starving children and it was well worth the wait. W have had a lot of fish and chips and both grew up by the sea so know good quality. We loved the children's portions too. Fantastic and certainly the best we have tasted in the south of England. Yummy.

Best fish and chips, well worth travelling to get them! Shame that they dont take cards, but apart from that they are excellent!

Great fish and chip place in Aldeburgh. Well worth a time spent in a queue for this fish and chip shop. There are two branches on Aldeburgh High Street and both serve fantastic fish and chips. An Aldeburgh institution!!

We had fish and chips 3 times whilst in Aldeburgh. Wonderful fresh fish and perfect chips. Service very good and quick even when the queue is out onto the street.

We visited at lunchtime and didn't have to wait long. The service was quick and the food good. Delicious haddock with a tasty batter and the chips were just right. You can take them to the pub next door and eat them in their 'garden' as long as you buy a drink. However we took them wrapped and walked the... More

Great F&C. I'd recommend eating upstairs in the associated restaurant as well. Make sure you arrive early - word has got around

Have visited several times over the years - always great tasting fish and very good chips and peas. We prefer the haddock, but plenty order the cod - so it must be good too.

I have been eating Cod & Chips from The Galleon since 1969, always had to queue and wait my turn! But boy is it worth the wait, the best time of day is mid late evening during the summer and then leg it onto the beach and see the sun set over Aldeburgh - amazing. You could not exceed this... More
