Fish and Chips on the sea wall!

My girlfriend and I went to Aldeburgh for a wonder around the shops (which are beautiful) and decided to grab some Fish and Chips for lunch before the drive back home. The queues are absolutely insanely long but please grin and bear it, I’m afraid that this is part and parcel, as they are so... read more

Wow! Best fish and chips ever! And so cheap. The queues outside the door are a testament to the quality here. Take away and eat on the sea wall or eat them next door in the pub garden if you buy a drink - my husbands idea of heaven!

When you see people queing out of the door you think these must be great but it's only because there are only two fish and chip shops in Aldeburgh. On a wet Tuesday night you can walk straight in. Good chips but the fish weren't large portions even paying for a large fish and they were a bit soggy, could... More

Really enjoyed the fish and chips from this traditional seaside chip shop - they couldn't be faulted in any way. We had them twice during our week long stay in aldeburgh (with the excuse of needing to try both shops on the high street to do a thorough review!) Equally good!

Aldeburgh Fish and Chips is honestly the best in Suffolk. I have been visiting since I was a young child and have never been able to walk straight in; there is always a queue stretching the length of the street, clearly demonstrating how delicious the food is. Serving sizes are generous and I have not once been disappointed with my... More

Perfectly decent fish and chips to enjoy on the sea front. No queue at 4pm on Sunday. Child's portion at £3 a decent size as is the medium regular size. Wouldn't say they are better than I've had elsewhere but enjoyed them.

Great tasting fish and chips - no frills, just quality. The pub next door lets you eat them in the courtyard (after buying a drink of course) or eat them on the beach, 1 minute away. Highly recommended - do not be put off by the queues.

Holidaying in aldeburgh we decided to give the famous fish and chips a go.... after a long wait and poor service we took our meal away back to our holiday cottage the fish was swimming in dark grease and the chips were small and looked recooked! We were very disappointed to say the least and barely ate a quarter of... More

Prepare to queue ! Doesn't matter what time you go, there will always be a queue - if there are several of you - put one person in the queue and go and get a drink from the pub next door - they are happy for you to take glasses to anyone in the queue and you can eat your... More

Lovely!!! Best fish n chips I've had for a long time. We sat on the beach and ate them out of the wrappers! Mushy peas are also a must
