Decent enough

Loads of hype for this chippy and almost always a queue out of the door. Clean & welcoming with attentive service. Only had chips, so can't comment on the quality of the fish, but the chips are very good!

I am a Yorkshire man and know that Harry Ramsdan's in Guisely are the best fish and chips in the world. However, Aldeburgh is a pretty good second. Nearly always long queues which don't seem to matter - they are part of the experience - when you sit down to eat your food sitting on the sea wall looking out... More

Have visted many times but disappointed this time. Chips ok but fish only average and pricey! Hope it returns to its roots!

I grew up in Aldeburgh and often enjoyed the fish and chips here. However in later years the portion sizes seem to get smaller. I don't mind paying more for good products, but these are frozen fish cut small and on quiet days left to sit in the optic going a bit wet and greasy. When the older generation is... More

First time visit to Aldeburgh. We had heard about how nice the town was and that the fish and chips were the best in Suffolk. That they are! There was a queue, being Boxing Day, but it moved quickly. The staff were very friendly despite being super busy. All in all a good day out and a nice piece of... More

Very well cooked, quite expensive but very tasty. Couple of fish bones in my fish (haddock) but apart from that the batter was light and the chips freshly cooked. Worth the wait.

My wife and I have been regular visitors over the years and in the past always enjoyed the fish and chips and thought them the best in Suffolk. However, on our last two visits we have been very disappointed. Today the cod portion was very small and not a very good cut. It did not seem to be that fresh.... More

Well if you time it wrong, the queue can be lengthy - but don't worry, it's quick. And queuing for fish and chips is part of the Aldeburgh experience, right? Aldeburgh Fish & Chips is of course the best fish and chips in this part of england, and therefore the world. Don't do a Mandleson and order the guacamole. Do... More

Definitely the best fish and chips I've had in ages. Everything is freshly cooked in front of you so no soggy batter! Really tasty fish and perfect chips - you can see why there's usually a queue out the door.

We visited the fish and chip shop whilst out walking the dog. The service was great, the shop was very tidy and clean. The chips were okay, but I wouldn't make a special trip to get more.
