What a find!

Found this great diner when walking through Aldeburgh! Great friendly staff and fantastic decor, really felt like we were stepping back in time. Milkshakes tasty and loved the little milk bottle my sons drink was served in. Food was good but we order granary bread and got white and my veggie burger... read more

This place is not for everyone: DON’T come here for quick and un-lovely fast food to throw down your neck while you ponce around Aldeburgh. DO come here if you want to be transported to a lovingly-kitsch early 1950s wonderland, and have a seaside experience to enjoy and savour. Music is rockin, décor is fab, staff look the part, and... Delphine's is a retro American 50's style restaurant which, on the face of it, serves up a menu of traditional diner fast food. On the day we visited, we were a party of seven and so maybe a slightly larger order than the staff were used to. But weighing in at five hotdogs, a sandwich and a burger, we figured... More

1950's Retro ice cream parlour and road house style. Attractive and bright, staff in costume helpful. Ice cream soda, root beer etc all the stuff. We had a foot long hot dog with chili and tomato with salad, very tasty. Well worth a visit. Some displays getting tired; very long wait for food, and it did not seem that busy... More

This restaurant is now called Delphine's Diner and is an almost stunningly bad experience across the board. I mean - stunningly. On our visit, the woman in charge handled our order aggressively and with no warmth or charm. She instructed me to pay up front and made that brief sorry-not-sorry face that people who already hate you make before returning... More

We were all geared up for a fish n' chip supper until we saw the queues! Wondering further up the High Street we stumbled on Delphines Diner - what a find! It was superb service, food and ambience. Had a cold beer, everything from the garden burger and finished off with a choc nut sundae. Will definitely return to this... More

As we walked up top of Aldeburgh High Street we saw this fabulous 1950s styled Diner and we had to go in. We were welcomed warmly and were seated in a booth by the window. Everything was fun, the music, the decor, the staff and the menu. We had soda, ice cream shakes ( voted 'best we have ever had... More

Milkshakes tasty and loved the little milk bottle my sons drink was served in. Food was good but we order granary bread and got white and my veggie burger was very sloppy. 1950's diner with authentic decor. Great menu, food and service with local produce cooked and served American style.... Suffolk meets 1950's America in the best possible way.... A real Must visit

I saw this place and thought it was adorable! It looks like a 1950s American diner. I ordered a shake, which was so cute I didn't want to drink it, topped with whipped cream, a cherry and sprinkles, it was delicious too. We had no time to sit in one of the lovely booths and eat but will definitely visit... More

When strolling along the top end of Aldeburgh high street, near the Cinema we happened upon Delphine's Diner. Wonderful 1950's themed diner. Great atmosphere. Burgers using the finest locally sourced beef take a little longer to cook but it's well worth it, they were succulent and full of flavour , we relaxed with our cream soda and lemonades and listened...
