Eat here about every two months when we enjoy a day out in delightful Aldeburgh and should have reviewed before as this small restaurant never fails to please and is a consistently high standard of cuisine. Locally caught fish features large on the menu but if you are looking for chips this is not the place for you! We always... More

We have often enjoyed eating here during our holidays, but this year found it less enjoyable then usual. 'Special' plaice fillet came with four tiny new potatoes and some uninterestingly-presented vegetables; fish curry was good but not excellent. Service also very variable: a family who came in after us were immediately offered booster seats, toys and half portions; our toddler... More

Lovely lunch spot on a busy bank holiday weekend. Food is excellent although a bit slow in arriving! Seating outside as well. A bit small inside. We had fish pie and salmon fillet, fresh veggies. Well seasoned and very good. Lots of staff running around in such a small place. Would recommend, but be patient in waiting for your food.

Really liked the concept of this place with the "market" next door to the restaurant. This place is small but the food is of a good quality with fresh ingredients. The staff were friendly and efficient. Would recommend wholeheartedly.

We picked out a fresh piece of cod from the market and had them cook it up. Fresh and perfectly prepared. The pastries are homemade and tasty. Ultimate simplicity!

An unasuming little place, but surprisingly good, a happy place to rest awhile. At coffee time, we were looking for lunch, but people were dropping in for breakfast, which looked tempting, or just coffee and toast and a read of the newspapers provided, but lunch we were served, The bruchetta my Husband was served looked exiting, and the plate was... We decided to try Aldeburgh Market because it looked welcoming inside and we could see there was a selection of home made cakes too. We were a group of 6 and between us we ordered a selection of cakes - lemon polenta, carrot and the star of the show - salted caramel and peach! What a cake! An unusual flavour... More
