Small, but perfectly formed deli, green grocers, fish shop, bakery and cafe/ restaurant all rolled into one fabulous experience. Always worth the wait for a table. We had a fab late lunch, each ordering such different dishes - fish curry, Singapore noodles, fish pie and bruschetta and every mouthful savoured. Cannot recommend it enough.

We love this excellent deli with its attached dog friendly cafe. The cafe menu is, as you might expect, biased towards a very interesting selection of freshly cooked fish dishes. Excellent coffee and swift, helpful service. Definitely an outstanding Aldeburgh lunch stop.

A wonderful experience, freshly cooked delicious food and perhaps the best coffee outside of Italy” A very, warm friendly, relaxing environment. Wonderfully caring attentive staff. A great selection of food, and have not experienced a more delicious plate of fish and chips ever, cooked to perfection time and time again... A thin light batter, soft melt-in-the-mouth cod, and chunky hand-cut... More

This place usually never disappoints and although we don't live locally, whenever we have guests, we can always rely on a good quality lunch here. Always worth booking as it is a small restaurant attached to an equally excellent deli. Our guests were vegetarian and vegan so they both decided on the Greek Meze [with a request for an alternative... More

On 21st October visited Market Cafe around lunch time there were several empty tables only required a coffee and tea cake my order was taken by what could be owner or manager who was not very pleasant I presume she was expecting a more substantial order when leaving my wife gave a pleasant farewell comment I was standing behind the... I think the reviewer must have been mistaken as to where he was or what he heard. We are a small open plan restaurant where every word can be heard by everybody. No-one on the staff would have made such a ridiculously rude comment. We want everyone who comes in to have a great experience and delicious food. Such a... More

I had the whitebait as it is something I like and it is not often you can get it fresh. It was disappointing as it was under seasoned and had been fried with the oil that was not hot enough. This resulted in the whitebait not being crisp and very oily. My wife had the fish stew, a bit to... More

It is a few years since we last ate here. It is an informal cafe attached to a delicatessen/fishmonger. Standards have slipped. Table was rather sticky even after wiping. Food was mediocre at best. Smoked haddock gratin had plenty of gratin, loads of cheese sauce, quite a few mushrooms, but very little haddock... in fact not enough to tell whether... More

A good place to eat a mid-range lunch if you can get a seat. Staff used a team approach (all staff paid attention to all diners). Interesting menu offerings, well presented.

Had a really super lunch with my Mum in this cafe/bistro which has the welcome addition of an integral fresh fish shop/deli! ...Excellent choice of fresh fish, shellfish and some Thai oriented dishes, all immaculate and nicely served, good sized portions.....salads, burgers available too, wine and great coffee! definately go again !!
