We visited this cafe one morning, found a nice table in the window and ordered two teas and a piece of cake. The tea came but not the cake. We watched the staff and tried to catch someone's eye before we finished the tea. Finally we asked for the bill, explaining that we had had only tea. The attitude was... More

Always have a brunch here whenever we visit. The meze is always good and if they have always accommoded me whenever I've asked for rye bread from the shop. When they had crab in the fishshop i asked if they'd do it for me with a salad and they obliged. Nothing was too much trouble.love the staff too.

I didn't realise it was vegetarian but it serves fish. There was a lovely choice of some fusion type dishes curries etc. The fish soup was delicious although not traditionally fishy as it had a tomato base. We has tasty olives humous etc fish gougons and Singapore noodles. All quite reasonable with good friendly service.

Aldeburgh Market is essentially a small greengrocer/deli with a small cafe. I had lunch threre today, a busy half term day in Aldeburgh. Luckily I managed to get a table, many tables had been reserved and were empty the whole time I was there and other customers turned away. It is a tiny cafe and reservations make them lose covers.... The weekend weather was having an unseasonal flourish and having enjoyed a walk along the seafront we ended up back in the centre and decided to enjoy a coffee and bite to eat. We both selected one of the tempting homemade cakes which were delicious. Although later in the afternoon other patrons were enjoying larger dishes from the menu which... More

Passing through Aldeburgh we needed a warming and filling meal before a long drive home. This was a good choice - excellent leek and potato soup and a hearty fush pie. Both very home-made and just what we needed. Did not have time for coffee or a slice of the tempting cakes, whcih was a shame. I would book to... More

First visit to this lovely part of the country. Enjoyed lunch with my wife and three friends. Staff very welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. We all chose different mains and there was no 'menu envy'. All delighted with our own choice. Service was excellent and the experience exceeded our expectations.

On a hot and sunny day in mid-September my son and I wanted to eat lunch outside and just happened to come across "The Aldeburgh Market" with one remaining table on the pavement where we ate a fabulous lunch. Friendly and quick service and very well presented food. I had a crab salad and a couple of glasses of wine,... More
