It was a great surprise to enter this small establishment, and then be greeted with some great choices and great fresh food. Well worth a visit

Cafe is attached to a small shop specialising in fresh fish and vegetables and these are the ingredients that appear on the menu. From staples such as fish pie or smoked haddock, creamy mashed potatoes with spinach to more exotic Pad Thai noodles with prawns there is something for all tastes. Everything is freshly prepared and tastes delicious. We, like... More

Enjoyed an excellent lunch with locally sourced and freshly cooked ingredients whilst on holiday in Aldeburgh. Very pleasant environment and friendly and helpful staff.

The AM Cafe has been closed until recently following a fire. We went on a busy Bank Holiday Monday for brunch and were pleasantly surprised. I had simple but delicious toast and excellent coffee. The rest of my family had kippers - deemed delicious- and granola with yoghurt (unfortunately the compote was extremely sour). I will definitely return for brunch... More

Ate here on a recommendation and really glad we did. We had swordfish on spicy noodles which was delicious and seabass with garlic potatoes, equally as good. Fresh home cooked food, good portions and friendly service. Just a shame they only open for dinner on Saturday's.

Had very pleasant lunch for 4 here, we had just mains that included a monkfish stew, haddock ragu, laksa and a kedgeree all of which were ranging between good and very good. Accompanied by bottled beers and some excellent coffee to finish with, charming service and the bill was £50 for 4!! It's a bit cramped and the ambience won't... More

It was a wet and windy Sunday in Aldeburgh so most places were full (including one with a very rude manager.) I remembered this as a restaurant in an earlier existance and went through the door of what looked like a green grocers to the amusement of my daughter. Inside the cafe is bright, crisp and clean and unlike a... More

The AM cafe is perfectly located in the middle of Aldeburgh's attractive high street. There are only 20 covers, so get there early or make a reservation for lunch. Breakfast is served until 12; freshly sqeezed juices, excellent coffee, organic eggs, kedgeree - all delicious. Lunches include much organic local produce and plenty of fish. the cafe is then open... My partner and I had lunch at the AM cafe while on a weekend break in Aldeburgh. We spotted it while walking in the high street and it looked inviting with it's wet fish display inside. You enter through a kind of shop, a really pretentious one at that. You know the sort, expensive jars of quite inexpensively made foodstuffs... More
