Nice Staff

Drove up to Aldeburgh from Cambridge as it was a nice hot day and we fancied fish & chips by the sea. Stopped just near The Mill Inn and had two halves of Aspel @ £2.10 each. Nice friendly staff, and a decent cider. She explained where the best fish & chipss were and served us with a... read more

We went there last year for an evening meal. I remember that I had the mixed grill because it was the best that I had eaten anywhere at any price. I like my steak med-rare, but everything else well done. This is the only place where this requirement has been met and it made a huge difference. I recall that... More

We were immediately made to feel welcome at this pub and enjoyed a couple of pints with our meal which was good quality and very tasty. I will certainly return again next time we visit or stay at Aldeburgh.

Lovely looking place with history and character. Seats a little uncomfortable and was very quiet when we visited so no real atmosphere beyond what seemed like a few locals seated around the bar. Very wide range of food available from your usual pub grub to plenty of fresh seafood dishes. The staff were very accommodating at my request for a... More

We eat here most times when we visit Aldeburgh and have never been served a bad meal. The portions are large and always fresh served in a nice atmosphere with lovely staff.

Visited on a Saturday evening, excellent choice of beer and friendly staff. We had fish finger sandwiches which were excellent, and had very fresh tasting homemade fish fingers! Bit dark inside, but this is due to the age of the building, and there are benches outside if it is a nice day. Would happily recommend and visit again.

Can't be bothered , we won't go again. When we last ate there it was late, not very warm, & poorly presented. Dodgy tables, & woodwork going on around us!

not sure your review relates to the correct pub!!....the mill inn is 400 years old with low ceilings so if you come into the building on a sunny day it can sometimes seem a bit dark....but with regards to your comments, not sure what woodwork you are talking about, there certainly is never ever any maintenance going on in the building when...
