Very good food and staff were excellent. Beer was kept well and a good pint of Adnams was well appreciated after a long day walking

Friendly, helpful staff. Extensive menu, everything fresh and beautifully prepared, especially the skate, the crayfish rolls and the fish burgers.

Lunch time, hungry and walking through Aldeburgh, we were drawn into this friendly place by the happy looking customers and piled high plates. We weren't disappointed our food (game pie and hot steak and onion sandwich) was delicious, inexpensive and of generous proportions. The staff were friendly and the service very good, decent ale too! The view from the bar... More

Called in here after intending to eat at a nearby hotel where the greeting was so unwelcoming we left. Here on the other hand we were greeted warmly by the friendly lady behind the bar. We ordered simple pub food, fish and chips and a cajun chicken platter. We were really pleasantly surprised when they arrived. Superb batter on really... More

We did not fancy the long queues at the fish and chip shops in Aldeburgh so called in at the Mill Inn. What a gem. We had the beer battered cod and the Cajun salmon. Both were excellent. We sat in a cosy corner and the service was first class. We will definitely be back.

A quiet (!) Thursday night in Aldeburgh, the last of 7 we'd spent there (a party weekend followed by some chill out days) and Mallory, Jevon and I headed out for a bit of a blow out. The Mill Inn was the only pub in Aldeburgh doing food that night and, to be honest, it wasn't our first choice. We... More

Visiting aldeburgh with friends we had a wee pub crawl around the town... our second port of call and biggest mistake was The Mill Inn.... from the outside a traditional inn stood on the main road bracing the elements looked inviting enough... we found the bar in a dark dingy room after entering through a light airy lounge.... the bar... after a long walk we stopped at the Mill Inn for sunday lunch, they had run out of fish so we choose a roast beef,a scampi +chips, and egg, ham + chips, order placed at 13.51, food arrived at 14.50, roast beef dinner was missing: roast potatoes, yorkshire pudding and horseradish sauce, the plate had plenty of beef but only...
