Our new Bar and Brasserie has been inspired by a modern desire to return to simple, 'back to basics' food, offering freshly prepared dishes, contemporary, informal surroundings and impeccable service. We hope the whole family will enjoy dining with us. From fresh fish bought from Dean's Shed, situated on the beach opposite the White Lion, to smoked kippers sourced from Pinney's of Orford, every ingredient used in the exciting dishes which feature on the new menu, has been 'hand picked' to guarantee an abundance of flavours - Bon Appétit.

We stayed at the White Lion Hotel so chose to eat in the restaurant a couple of evenings. We both had fish and chips the first night which was delicious (but huge) In fact so big we went for a walk then came back for dessert. We had been tempted by the chocolate sharing platter and it did not disappoint.... More

Starters were a bit messy with very thick batter on calamari and king prawns but the main course beef shin was delicious. Nice service, we were asked if we would like to move to a table with a sea view once it had been vacated.

Had stayed at hotel a number of times over the years but had a disagreement with management and have not being back. But thought I would give the new restaurant a look in for lunch. Total make over but the menu looks like it has being partly copied from the Cote chain of restaurants but not as varied as theirs.... More

Visited this restaurant on the weekend for their 'Greek Themed' night. After reading other trip advisor reviews I had very high hopes for this restaurant. The meal was £30 per head for four courses from a set menu, however the set menu only had two options per course - one vegetarian and one meat / fish. The starters were exactly... More

We went for dinner on a Saturday night whilst staying at the sister hotel The Brudenell. The place was very busy as the hotel also had a theme night on in a separate room. However service was not affected and the staff were attentive during the whole evening. Food was also very good. Menu is wide and varied and in... More

Whilst not the most inviting exterior, we chanced into this brasserie restaurant for lunch and found a most inviting interior with bar lounge and restaurant in which you can enjoy a choice of menus and snacks. Exceedingly polite and inviting staff with prompt service. Ordered the set lunch menu with some good choices. Food served promptly and was excellent quality.... More

Great food and great service! The selection was vast and the wait staff was quick and efficient. You can go continental or full English or both if you want. Press coffee is a treat as well.
