Our new Bar and Brasserie has been inspired by a modern desire to return to simple, 'back to basics' food, offering freshly prepared dishes, contemporary, informal surroundings and impeccable service. We hope the whole family will enjoy dining with us. From fresh fish bought from Dean's Shed, situated on the beach opposite the White Lion, to smoked kippers sourced from Pinney's of Orford, every ingredient used in the exciting dishes which feature on the new menu, has been 'hand picked' to guarantee an abundance of flavours - Bon Appétit.

We visited for Sunday lunch. There was a party of 7 of us. The staff were friendly and very attentive. The menu was very good and there was something for everyone. There was a lovely atmosphere and it was not too noisy. The food was really good. I had the roast beef and it melted in your mouth. The vegetables... More

The dinner was very good, we had no problems. But when we had breakfast we had a slight problem, we had ordered black pudding with our full English, but it did not come, so we had to inform them to be able to get it.

Good food menu not extensive but that is good you get the feeling that they concentrate on providing really good food and do not extend themselves. Well worth a visit and you should not be disappointed.

Not cheap and the food wasn't just very nice. Service was good though and after a few cocktails I cared less.

Not many places open in the winter. My duck must have come out of a plastic bag, quite disappointing. Another family member had pork belly that was better. Felt like a chain experience. The staff were very good and tried hard. We originally wanted to go to The Lighthouse, but closed for renovations.

We enjoyed a very comfortable and well balanced dinner after a long journey. The menu was offering a good choice and the staff were very attentive and friendly. We have been several times in the past and the standards remain high. I only complaint I have was that the menu is printed in brown ink on brown card, not easy... More

Having enjoyed super food here on several occasions I was reluctant to be negative but on reflection think constructive criticism should be helpful. The first disappointment is that on booking I was not warned that the normal menu was suspended and a slimmed down menu only available during this pre New Year week. The quality of the food was then also...
