Description: The Seafood & Grill restaurant at the boutique Brudenell hotel is situated in a fantastic seaside location, a pebble's throw from the beach at the Suffolk town of Aldeburgh. The restaurant is a wonderful place to relax and soak up panoramic views along the beach, whatever the time of year, though if you are lucky enough to visit during summer, you can take full advantage of the sea-facing al fresco terrace. It has a relaxed ambience and restaurant staff are slick and friendly. Head Chef, James Barber, enjoys exceptionally fresh, local sustainably sourced fish and has therefore created this existing Seafood offering for the Suffolk Coast. With the stunning sea-views, what better location than Seafood & Grill at The Brudenell to offer the most amazing seafood and fish dishes. James has worked with local suppliers and fishermen to source the very best that Suffolk has to offer and will now have the opportunity to share this with you resulting in some fantastic dishes such as Mixed Seafood Grill, Potted smoked East Coast Mackerel served with Suffolk beetroot chutney & melba toast, Whole dressed Aldeburgh crab, Harwich Lobster and many more that will ooze unadulterated flavours.

We had a really tasty lunch here. Lovely starters, I had Mackerel pate. I had fish pie for a main course and my husband had a whole lobster that he really enjoyed!! Good kids menu with starters, mains and puddings. The sausage and mash was generous for kids but the pasta and bolognaise a little small for older kids. Really... More

I really enjoyed my mains of scallops and the menu had many things that I wanted to try. They seem to be understaffed as the service leaves something to desire, however, I look forward to going back again soon.

It's a good job we are retired as we seemed to do a lot of waiting - waiting for coffee, waiting for napkins, waiting for mustard, waiting for service! The one thing we didn't have to wait for was the bill, that came out as quick as lightening! We had decided to treat ourselves to a nice meal that cost... More

Dear guest Many thanks for taking the time to leave your feedback. I am disappointed to read your review and sorry the chips didn't live up to your expectations, we do offer a choice of home cut chips or French fries. We hope you may be back to enjoy or unique location again. Kind regards Peter More

We were staying at the Brudenell, so we had the pleasure of eating breakfast, lunch and dinner here. On all three occasions the service we found the service very good. The servers were all attentive, our order was taken promptly, and everyone was friendly. The food was excellent - we particularly enjoyed the scallops, the battered plaice, and the Dover... More

My husband and I wandered along to the Brudenell for a late lunch on a Friday afternoon. On arrival, the waitress pointed to all the free tables and said take your pick. SHe gave us a menu, then tried to take our order quite quickly, we were not ready so said so. Then we had to wait a good 10-15... More

This restaurant has something for everyone! Great location, somewhere to chill out before or after eating, either in one of the lounges or on the terrace, great selection of cocktails, alcoholic or 'foolproof mocktails' and as for the food!! They never fail to deliver!! Oh, one other thing, the staff are very welcoming!!

My family and I were very disappointed with the service we received. Staff were friendly but seemed somewhat out of depth. A long wait for food and drinks really did spoil our Sunday lunch a wait of 45 mins between starter and main course was too long, fortunately once we received our food it was good. However, paying £16 for... More

I took my daughter out for lunch expecting to enjoy excellent food but we were very disappointed. The setting is beautiful overlooking the sea with uninterrupted views, the staff were helpful and polite but the food was poor. I ordered mussels when they arrived they reminded me of the vacuum sealed ones that you get at the supermarket they were... More

We used this place a couple of time to eat at as it has a pleasant aspect on the sea front. We sat outside on both occasions and it has comfortable seating with plenty of space. The menu is good with decent choices. I had the Lobster Lasagne on one day and an open sandwich on the other. The food... More
