Description: The Seafood & Grill restaurant is a wonderful place to relax and soak up panoramic views along the beach, whatever the time of year, though if you are lucky enough to visit during summer, you can take full advantage of the sea-facing al fresco terrace. It has a relaxed ambience and restaurant staff are slick and friendly. Menus at the restaurant at The Brudenell Hotel are full of seasonal produce, sourced from local suppliers. Head chef James Barber is responsible for creating the appealing modern European dishes on offer; his specialty is good honest food done well, like salt beef hash with a fried egg and sweet potato fries, or his own version of fish and chips. The extensive wine list offers the discerning drinker plenty of choice, and good value for money.

This is a very nicely designed resteraunt, predominantly seafood but Sunday Lunch is Sunday lunch so we both had beef sirloin and very good it was too, nice gravy and veg, no consesions here tho £16 per portion? In total we had 2 pints of beer a gin and tonic, a small Ceaser salad starter, tap water, a very small... More

Stopped off in Aldeburgh on our way to our ultimate holiday destination and were pleased to get a good table outside overlooking the sea for lunch. Staff were smiling and friendly, service was good and food was lovely. Shared potted shrimp and crabmeat to start which were both very good, followed by locally caught Dover Sole, which was lovely. I... More

To celebrate acquisition of a new home on the high street we had dinner at this restaurant. Service was reasonably good. Menu and dishes need work. With very few people in the restaurant our reserved table was by the door to the kitchen. Oh well. At least I got a nice suntan from the overly bright overhead halogens. Note, lighting... More

We arrived in Aldeburgh on a beautifully warm September day and we were delighted when, without a booking, we were able to have one of the last remaining tables outside at the Grill... blue skies, pristine beach, breaking waves and local seafood to look forward to... how lucky was that? The staff were charming, welcoming and very affable. We were... More

Ate here for lunch and can hardly find a negative thing to say. Restaurant is very good, tables are well spaced, and a wonderful view being only 5 meters from the beach. The service was excellent, and the food really good. The mussels the mackerel pate and the duck starters were all very good indeed, and the main couses of... More

I had the calamari and chorizo salad (£7), lobster (£38 - special occasion) for main course and cheesecake for dessert (£7). We sat outside and have been to the restaurant twice before, once in 2012 and 2011. Food is a little on the pricey side for what you get. The food was good, well presented, but it took them forever... More

We stopped for an unplanned lunch at this hotel over the August Bank Holiday - although it was a bit windy we sat outside shielded by the worst of the breeze by the plastic shields looking over the sea which really was rather lovely. Although the hotel restaurant was very busy we had good service and super fish & chips... More

Booked table in restaurant with sea view, excellent. Our first waitress had great difficulty in understanding the English language resulting in our drinks order taking sometime to achieve. Our second waitress, Charley, who took our lunch order was excellent, we questioned her regarding some items on the menu and she new exactly how it was cooked and served, and our... More

We arrived after lunch had stopped being served but were told but a member of the waiting staff that sandwiches would be available . He then just left us standing there, for him to find some menus (which didn't have any sandwiches on!) We felt we were being an inconvenience to him. The food was average , but over priced. It... Visited twice in recent weeks; once on seafront terrace and once inside... On both occasions very good food and service although 1st time was probably very slightly better for both. Décor is modern and minimal; nicely designed and layout. Always plenty of staff who are very friendly and quite efficient. Very good menu with lots of locally sourced foods, especially... More
