Description: The Seafood & Grill restaurant is a wonderful place to relax and soak...
The Seafood & Grill restaurant is a wonderful place to relax and soak up panoramic views along the beach, whatever the time of year, though if you are lucky enough to visit during summer, you can take full advantage of the sea-facing al fresco terrace. It has a relaxed ambience and restaurant staff are slick and friendly. Menus at the restaurant at The Brudenell Hotel are full of seasonal produce, sourced from local suppliers. Head chef James Barber is responsible for creating the appealing modern European dishes on offer; his specialty is good honest food done well, like salt beef hash with a fried egg and sweet potato fries, or his own version of fish and chips. The extensive wine list offers the discerning drinker plenty of choice, and good value for money.

Could & should be better

Dined in the restaurant, as hotel guests. The restaurant & bar area are inviting and modern. The young lady who was the maître d' was excellent....very professional & attentive. Refreshing to see that spirits are 'free-poured' and the wine list is varied and priced well. The service is a bit... read more

A day out with my mum in Aldeburgh. We decided to stop at lunchtime in the Brudenell and opted for a coffee and snack. However, the 'snack' menu was only served until 12. We arrived at 10 minutes to 12. No one came to serve us so i went to reception and specifically asked if it was still possible to... More

We have been here a few times but we both thought this was the best. The staff are lovely, very helpful and friendly. I had the special, sea bass, brown shrimps, Samphire and potatoes. My husband had sea Bream, crab potatoes and samphire. Polished off with sticky toffee pudding and a chocolate ganache tart. Very contented, had to finish with... More

Having been bought a cream tea for 2 voucher for my birthday I purchased the same for my mother in law thinking that the 4 of us could go sometime. It cost me £15 for 2. We love Aldeburgh and often go for a walk and a take away coffee on the beach path while my son sails his boat... More

We decided to try the restaurant as an alternative to the Lighthouse. We got a seat by the windows but as it was dark we couldn't really see anything. Oh well. We had the sharing plate for a starter which although very small portions was tasty. Mains I went for he smoked fish crumble which I loved and my wife... More

We booked a table in the restaurant over the Christmas period for a family meal. It was a complete disaster with awful service and very little left on the menu. The waiter returned several times to re-take our order because the items ordered were no longer available and the shared starters arrived at three stages 15 minutes apart. It took... More

We visited Aldeburgh on Monday 18th January looking to enjoy a special lunch for my wife's birthday. We passed "The Lighthouse" and looked at the menu (which seemed pleasing enough) and walked up into the town along the sea front. By the time we got to The Brudenell we were ready for a drink and a bite to eat. We... More

Great seafood. The windows overlook the sea. It was a pity that it was night and you could only imagine the view. We enjoyed a meal of lobster, tiger prawns, oysters and bass enhanced by a bottle of wine. Although a little more expensive than the local restaurants, it did offer a diverse menu and wine list, which justified the... More
