Description: The Brudenell Hotel is a boutique hotel situated in a fantastic seaside location, a pebble's throw from the beach at the Suffolk town of Aldeburgh. The restaurant is a wonderful place to relax and soak up panoramic views along the beach, whatever the time of year, though if youre lucky enough to visit during summer, you can take full advantage of the sea-facing al fresco terrace. It has a relaxed ambience and restaurant staff are slick and friendly. Menus at the restaurant at The Brudenell Hotel are full of seasonal produce, sourced from local suppliers. Head chef Frances Moore is responsible for creating the appealing modern European dishes on offer; his specialty is good honest food done well, like salt beef hash with a fried egg and sweet potato fries, or his own version of fish and chips. The extensive wine list offers the discerning drinker plenty of choice, and good value for money.

We have eaten here four times now, and the food has always been great - until this last time. The staff, although friendly, are inept and slow. This last time, the fish was great but the chips had clearly been re-heated, so, coupled with the slow service, a need to remark on this now is needed. Who ever is in... More

We came here for my birthday dinner which was simply outstanding. The view for a start was amazing- overlooking the sea and the waves upon the shore. The table was beautifully presented and the staff very attentive. We were served drinks quickly and left with menus to peruse. The choices were extensive and creative. The kitchen with ease accommodated dietary... More

Dropped into the Brundenell as we strolled along the promenade for an afternoon coffee. ordered a cafetiere of coffee for 2 and a piece of brownie/hazelnut cake. The price was similar to that what you would pay in a coffee shop and the cake delicious as was the coffee

Had a meal here for our anniversary and overall had a good experience. However, had a very long wait for our main meal which was cold when it finally arrived. The staff dealt with it immediately and the Chef came to apologize and ensured we had another glass of wine to enjoy with it when it arrived the second time.... More

We had a spectacular view over a wild north sea crashing onto the pebbly shore. The service was impeccable and the food was excellent. Really worth a visit. Could not fault anything.

Staying with friends on a snowy cold weekend called in hoping for lunch though it was quite late. However we were made welcome, the food was excellent and the service friendly. A longer than average wait for the deserts but they were worth it. Overall a positive experience to be recommended.

What's not to love, a stylish interior, excellent cocktails made with fruit purees and grey goose vodka, wonderful hot chocolates and amazing breakfasts whilst looking out to sea.

We went here just for lunch, lounge was full so we asked if we could eat in restaurant shown to a back of beyond table with no view! A la carte menu given to us with no mention of dishes unavailable. Eventually another member of staff came to take our order - No Roast Beef, it's a Sunday lunchtime???? I'm... More

Last Sunday I enjoyed a pre-Christmas family Sunday lunch in the restaurant at The Brudenell. I have visited Aldeburgh many times but have never made it inside the hotel so, when we could not get booked into our first choice, The White Lion, this was the ideal opportunity. The Brudenell is located at the quieter end of town and has... More
