Good Value & Lovely Setting!

This was our second visit to the church this time on a Wednesday night. The restaurant wasn't very busy but the food we ordered was nice. We both had the soup and I had the salmon main, this was really tasty and the fillet of salmon was huge. My other half had the belly pork which went down well... read more

This is how Sunday lunches should be. Great meet & greet, linen table cloths, Royal Albert crockery and service with a smile. Food was rather splendid too. We could only manage two courses (only £12.95) but we did admire the dessert trolley which was regularly returned to the cooler cabinet after every outing. This team is definitely going the extra... Well what can I say about the church other than the food was fantastic and the service was even better. I have read some horrible reviews on here about the attitude of the manager, my experience of him was that he could not do enough for us. The food service was quick and the waiting staff efficient and polite. Would... More

Food is amazing !! The amount you get is fantastic and doesn't leave you wanting more. The tarot evening makes it just a little different and adds an additional extra to what is already a unique night in this beautiful venue. The staff cannot do enough to help you and are extremely welcoming. Gary especially was extremely accommodating to our... More

Lovely venue, delicious piping hot, tasty, homemade food, locally sourced. Warm hospitality, lots of local history and beautiful place to eat. Ideal when visiting the theatre in Hanley too. Staff were attentive, genuine, professional and made it a perfect day for us. We'll certainly be back and will be spreading the word to others.

Visited with friends as a group of 4 had the set meal option we all had something different and were very happy portions were great, food was tasty and well presented. Staff were very attentive, clearing any empty glasses and plates as soon as but not 'hovering/rushing' the owner later came up to us all and asked if we were... More

Visited at lunch time. The atmosphere was unique. The food was excellent and real good value for money. The staff were friendly and polite. I would recommend visiting if you are in the area. I felt it was a little like a rough diamond, a little bit of change and, it would be very special place

I went here with a large group for a birthday and I agree with the other average reviews, the set menu is limited although our group did like their meals. The soup was served as a part of the children's meal and it was rather spicy, when tasting it myself I could tell there was a lot of pepper in... More

Visited with my mum treating her to afternoon tea for Mother's Day and we were both very impressed. The location was a bit odd and appeared quite rough however once inside the doors we were both pleasantly surprised. Impressive tall ceilings, lovely decorated tables with fresh flowers, nice bar area. Afternoon tea was fantastic, great choice of cakes, vintage plate... More

After having a very bad Christmas meal here a few years ago I had not returned. However, a family member booked this so decided to give it another go.The set menu is very confusing as it gives you the price for 2 courses but not 1.I enquired what the prices were for 1 course and was quite embarassed as I couldn't...
