Always enjoyed meals in Bengal. Service is excellent. Sorry to see it closed! Didn't see that coming!

A buffet meal arranged for 25 people and nowhere to eat. The restaurant has closed - presumably for good. Thanks to Blue Tiffin who stepped in and helped us out at short notice.

We were dining here last week and found the food to be very good and will definitely be returning soon. Lots of good choice on the menu. Service wasn't bad at all:-)

Had a family celebration and it was a great evening, the staff were so helpful even with the cake and balloons for the table. The food was delicious and the staff were attentive and helpfull.

Very good restaurant. Good friendly service. If you go Sunday to Thursday night four course meal for £9.95. Good choice on menue. Restaurant claims to have cheapest Indian beer in the country. Well worth a visit.

The Bengal is our local restaurant and in the four years we have being there going we have never had a bad meal. The staff are friendly with being overbearing unlike some other restaurants. We have always found the restaurant to be clean and have never had to wait too long for our order.

It all started with a musty smell in the foyer followed by a plastic-laminated sign: "please wipe your feet". The restaurant was empty at 6:30pm (except for one other couple, though we were there just for 'dinner' rather than a 'dinner-date'). Despite this, service was slow and we waited too long for our drinks to be ordered. The waiter didn't... More
