Called in today for a snack lunch. Sat outside initially for drinks in this lovely peaceful countryside setting, which was perfected by a lovely warm September day.Went inside to eat and as usual not disappointed. My wife had the goats cheese bruschetta,my sister in law, the crispy bacon&Stilton salad with garlic bread.I had a tuna & red onion baked potato... More

We stopped off at Weston on our way round the four counties ring and found the Saracens Head. The service is very friendly and efficient, the food was extremely good. We all loved our meals and you could tell everyone else eating there was enjoying themselves. They were busy and there were gaps between courses but the helpings were large... More

We stopped here last Saturday whilst on a narrowboat holiday. We were going to carry on a bit further towards Salt, but the weather was bad, so luckily we decided to stop here. Travelling with a dog in tow it was a relief to know that we were allowed to take the dog into the bar area. The food quality... More

Booked a table for five today for my mother in law's 87th birthday lunch. We weren't disappointed. Our table was in the conservatory near the open doors leading into the garden and with a gentle breeze outside wasn't too hot.(as has been the case on a previous visit) The food was excellent, freshly cooked and hot.My sister in law ,a "garlic... Close to the Trent & Mersey Canal at Br 80. We enjoyed a good meal and friendly service. The menu was limited when we were there as the Chef was on a day off. We later discovered that the Chef was in the restaurant enjoying her meal herself and her mum was in the kitchen!!! The food was very good... More

Close by the Trent & Mersey canal, with a party of six plus our friendly Labrador. No booking required we wandered into the huge, well tended grass, table strewn rear garden of The Saracens Head, and were brought menus while enjoying a drink after a long day. No questions about our dog, the courteous staff encouraged us to feel happy... More

We recently had our wedding reception here and we were so impressed with the service and attention to detail. Nothing was too much trouble. We ordered the luxury buffet and it was superb, there were many compliments from our guests on the day. Met with Barbara, the Landlady, on several occasions to discuss our requirements and on the day everything... More
