Meal with family

The staff here are always welcoming and very helpful. They have a new chef and he is trying out some interesting recipes some of which we have tried and would recommend. The food is always very enjoyable and they do half portions for my mum who is a small eater which suits her as she doesn't like... read more

we passed this inn en route back to Bridgnorth and it looked inviting so did a uturn and went in for a very early dinner We were welcomed by a charming waitress and both had the cod and chips - all freshly cooked and although the fish size rather overwhelmed us it was a proper job, nothing frozen here -... Have never eaten in the Shropshire Inn before, so we thought we'd try Sunday lunch. The restaurant area was vey pleasant and the lunch menu offered one, two, or three course options. Because time was short we opted for the single course. Whilst I have had many cheaper buffet lunches, this was outstanding. The quality of food was first class.... More

Have heard great things in the past about the food here, so decided to have a meal outside in the nice weather. The staff were incredibly pleasant, the surroundings were modern and clean and the outside area was perfect for what we wanted. The menu didn't exactly deliver however. I wanted something light such as a salad yet there didn't... More

First visit to the Inn since it has been refurbed etc and a very enjoyable one. Lovely seating area outside for good weather but we went inside to sit in very pleasant surroundings and decor. Loved the very large mirrors and wall decorations. Friendly greeting as we walked thru door and seated by a window, given menus and drinks arrived... More

Me and my partner came here to check out the 2 course menu our friends had recommended. I had the home made chicken liver pate for my starter which was absolutely perfect. For my main I had the cajun chicken with chips and salad, however as I don't really eat chips, the lovely manager changed them for garlic bread. This... More

It is so refreshing to find a restaurant where all of the food is cooked on the premises rather than plastic food reheated in a microwave. We have been to this restaurant many, many times and have never been disappointed. It is a fair drive away from our home but worth every mile to eat brilliant food in clean and... More

Had the salmon duo main course. Both types of salmon were dry and overcooked, mashed potato was OK, fennel was awful, prawn mousseline tasted disgusting and sliced tomato OK. The meal was dry and unpalatable and was desperate for a sauce. The combination of components of the meal just didn't work. Ate the meal and didn't make a fuss on... More

We called here today as a family of four , from walking in the restaurant it was very pleasant , this was not recommended and although we are regular visitors to Stafford we have never been here . The staff are lovely and very friendly , the place its self is very trendy with a nice range of ornamental stags... More

Light and airy interior. Friendly, smart and efficient staff. Carvery was excellent; choice of beef, pork or turkey. Roast potatoes were roast and not just sunburnt as we have had in other places locally. Boiled potatoes were of a perfect texture and had a lovely taste. Not a fan of cauliflower cheese, so gave that a miss. Topped off with... More
