Best scones I have had

This place was recommended by a local antique shop owner. The scones were home made and possibly the best I have ever had. Great accompanied by some strawberry jam and clotted cream

My husband and I took a rare dinner out and chose The Olive Tree. It had been months since our last disappointing visit. But always prepared to give a second chance. I had the Goats cheese tart. It was awful. The pasty was hard and I struggled to cut it. However the biggest problem was the flavour. Salt overload. I... More

Just had one of our regular trip outs to the Olive Tree for my mothers 80th birthday. Every time we go the food is great but the new menu is outstanding - spoilt for choice on both the starter and main menus and with a pud thrown in for just under £11 whats not to like? Service is friendly and... More

after being unimpressed with alot of the chain resturants in Lichfield myself and a group of friends decided to visit The Olive Tree for our Wednesday night meal and boy am I glad we did. It was 3 courses for £16.95 and the standard was impeccable of the food. I had the fillet steak which was £14 and the best... More

If you want a lunch where there is a menu with a wide variety of choice this small restaurant is the perfect place. Fish, pasta and meat dishes are all represented and at reasonable prices. The adequate portions make enjoying the 3-courses we chose a very satisfying experience. A nice touch is the bread and olives placed on the table... More

Nothing to get excited about, average food which is perhaps a little overpriced. Unfortunately sat at the back of the restaurant near to the kitchen and felt the table was in the way of waiting staff all night.

Just home from a meal in the olive tree with my husband and 6 year old son and I am making another meal for myself as I am still starving. The pasta portion I got was smaller than what I'd normally feed my son. There is no children's menu so they charged £13 for him to have salmon pasta. All... More

Arrived 10 mins before opening time and was asked if would like to sit inside, service was excellent and we could not fault the food we ordered. There was a good variety on the menu and was really spoilt for choice, also when we told the staff we were going to the theatre they made sure we didn't wait very... More

Though it is far from the largest restaurant in Lichfield this small gem does shine bright. The food was truly excellent and the service perfect and friendly. The value is exceptional for the degree of quality. The starters were on the table with surprising rapidity, the mains was the best T bone I have ever had and I have had... More
