This was my first visit to this restaurant which I had found on line. We had lunch from the lunch menu which was £12 each for 2 courses. The food was impeccably presented and the smoked salmon that I had was of the highest quality - I was very impressed. I had roast sirloin of beef for my main course,... More

We went for Sunday lunch and first impressions are good. The location is excellent and we were only 100 yards away for parking and it was £1 all day on a Sunday. The decoration is quite modern with lots of dark wood and glass. We were shown to our table quite quickly. The food was less than £20 for three... More

The food was excellent, pork rillettes which were accompanied by gooseberry chutney TO DIE FOR, husband had duck parfait bon-bons then we both opted for the ribeye steak, cooked to perfection. We were too full for pudding but will be back to tackle the cheese board.

Visited the Wine House last night for an evening meal. Had informed them when booking that I was coeliac and lactose intolerant and was very pleased to find that not only was there a choice of main meals but also the tastiest dessert I have ever eaten. The staff were wonderful and the food was divine. Highly recommended.

Booked a table for 7pm and had a drink in the bar first, nice glass of chilled Pinot blush, the staff were very welcoming and friendly. The menu has some unusual starters which is nice to see, but they don't really live up to the description, the chicken thigh is not stuffed at all and looks very pale a little... More

Visited here for a family birthday on Saturday for five people. Everyone enjoyed the food and service which could not be faulted. Portions were better than on previous visits especially the soup . Wine was nice too. Don't expect it to be cheap as this is one of the most expensive in Lichfield ...but worth it. Only suggestion would be... More

Lichfield has a vast selection of good eating places but the Wine House has the advantage of being situated in a lovely listed building close to the Cathedral and Minster Pool. The high ceilings, sash windows and wood floors create a lovely atmosphere combined with welcoming staff who seem very eager to please. We ate from the set lunch menu... More

This is about the 6th time we have eaten at the Wine House and it was a pleasure as always. The staff can't do enough for you and the food is always delicious. This visit was with friends as a birthday treat and we weren't disappointed. Sunday lunch here is a firm favourite of ours with 4 diners, one opting... More

Visited the Wine House for our 1st Wedding Anniversary meal and had a very mixed experience. The food was amazing, delicious and very good value for money. Compliments to the kitchen team as this was one of the best meals we have had in a while. The service unfortunately wasn't on the same level- when making our reservation I told... More
