Good food nice ambiance

This is a small quirky restaurant with a very reasonable fixed price menu but parking nearby can sometimes be difficult

Classy little restaurant with a monthly changing menu that never disappoints. Choose from half a dozen starters, mains and desserts for a ridiculously low set price and then add sides and drinks. I've never been disappointed by anything I've ordered at 1709. Beautiful food in a beautiful building, book if you can, it's very popular...justifiably popular 😉

Ate here on a Friday night. Service was a little too efficient (know that sounds weird, but we were in and out after 3 courses in an hour!!). You can't fault the prices - 3 courses plus a bottle of wine for under £50 for 2 people. Food wasn't particularly hot but it was nice. Just felt a little rushed... More

Popped in for an impromptu lunch with my partner and turned out to be a great decision. Quirky rooms but with a great atmosphere. Service was prompt but not intrusive. I had Goats cheese starter which was not particularly well presented but tasted excellent. My partner had mushroom with brie and she said it was delicious. We both opted for... More

Having previously been unable to eat here without a reservation, we booked a lunch and travelled 25 miles for a visit to Lichfield. We were not disappointed, this is a high standard restaurant at very reasonable prices, we had two 3 course lunches with a bottle of wine for less than £35.00. Excellent value the staff were very obliging and... More

Visited with my boyfriend for an evening meal. We were sat in a small room which had an old but welcoming feeling to it. The food was perfect and the drinks were good. The service was excellent although we felt a little rushed, we were there for barely an hour all together, this could have been due to the 14... More

Really enjoyed this funky place. A bit noisy, but we had been warned that there was a large party that had already booked at the same time, so no worries. We all enjoyed a fixed price menu in the range of 12.50 to 14.50 BP for 2 to 3 courses. Food portions were just the right size and the taste... More
