Service was good. Staff is friendly and not too slow. I had lasagne. It tasted of corned beef! My husband thought the same. It definitely had corned beef in it. There was not much sauce or juice. It was quite dry when I cut through the lasagne. The flavour is rather bland too. How good is a restaurant that mixed... More

Went here for lunch while in Wells yesterday, we were looking for somewhere to eat and this place had a good choice, nicely decorated with large real xmas tree inside, small buckets of holly on the tables and seemed very popular. We ordered pate and toast, onion and 3 cheese tart and salad and jacket potato with garlic mushrooms, 2... More

I went into this small place around 5pm of a windy and rainy day in Wells and looked for some foods before driving back to Bath. There were many items on menu, but looks veggies. So, my friend ended up with salad and I ordered curry with rice. Both are okay. Nothing special to note here. Anyway, the waitresses here... More

I have been here for coffee in the past, but this was the first time that we had lunch in here. The two young ladies go out of their way to make you feel welcome as soon as you walk in the door, nothing is too much trouble, they are lovely. The menu choice for lunch is excellent, we had... More

Can't say much for this place. Let's start with the positive: the waitress was pleasant. Ordered meals and drinks. Coffee was barely recognisable as coffee. The food was overpriced and not that good. Portions small and made up to look bigger by mounds of coleslaw and salad. Chips were about half cooked. Bishop's palace is better.

After looking around the Magnificent Wells Cathedral, we popped into this quaint and very busy restaurant and were greeted warmly by the attentive staff, we ordered Coffee whilst looking at the Menu and then chose our meals which were cooked to perfection and served by the very professional young waitress, all the girls were very focussed and cleared and cleaned... Looked welcoming from the outside but one member of staff was bordering on rude. The lemonade was £1.95 and was like water. We saw a lemonade bottle and it was from Lidl. My husband and daughter had "HOMEMADE" soup. Watery and suspected it was from a tin £4.95.I had shepherds pie £8.95 tiny and average. Perhaps we chose wrong but... More

Popped in just for a cup of tea and a slice of cake. One girl was very friendly and polite. The Lemon Layer cake was quite delicious and my husband's Cream Tea was very nice. Atmosphere inside the cafe was a little strange. It's only a small place, with a few tables, but the staff are quite happy standing at... More
