The portion sizes were just right. The night we went they were very busy but managed to keep everyone happy.

As we were staying in the Swan Hotel next door thought we would give this a try. We arrived at 6 as it opened. Starters took an hour to arrive our main meal was another 45min wait. Not sure why as it was not that busy but I did get the feeling regulars were given priority!! Staff not really that... More

Good Indian food in a modern style restaurant. Have been on quite a few occasions and always been satisfied with the service and food, although a little more expensive than the everyday Indian restaurant.

I should have listened to my first impression when we entered to the place. Broken door handle and intensive curry smell. Waitress took drink order and instructed us to go for pappadam as this is how it should be. She also brought us dips which we didn't ask for. Anyway after long waiting a heated plate arrived with my chickpea... More

Okay, the name Cafe Romna does not immediately conjure up images of an Indian Restaurant, but it is. However, my credit card statement shows the name,'Mahies Kitchen', so maybe that is Indian. However, whatever the name, the experience was not brilliant, and the food less good than expected. It's a nicely laid out restaurant, just opposite the green of the... More

We will never return here - took 3 hours from start to finish and when food finally arrived it was POOR (Lamb Tikka pasanda meat was hard, chewy and gristly). I would have to rate it the worst indian food/restaurant ever, and i have eaten in a fair few! I think it survives due to lack of competition in the... More

We were a large group (35) and two of the tables in our group had finished and paid for their meals before the last table got their food. We had booked ahead but they had not laid on sufficient staff. Such a shame because the food was excellent

There weren't any guests in this restuarant as I guess it was still faily early in the evening but the food smelt so good as we walked by we broke a golden rule for us.. to not eat in an empty restuarant.. What a good decision.. 2 locals came in for takeaways, always a good sign if the locals eat... More

I went out with my family and starters were really good, prices for those was alright. The mains came out and i had prawns but on menu mine didn't say it came with moodles or mince meat. The flavours were very poor. The best part of the main was the side of garlic nan. For 3 people it was quite... More

Really lovely quality food, great service and a decent price. Didnt realise it was an indian restaurant at first nearly walked straight by it, but really pleased I went in.
