We will never return here - took 3 hours from start to finish and when food finally arrived it was POOR (Lamb Tikka pasanda meat was hard, chewy and gristly). I would have to rate it the worst indian food/restaurant ever, and i have eaten in a fair few! I think it survives due to lack of competition in the... More

We were a large group (35) and two of the tables in our group had finished and paid for their meals before the last table got their food. We had booked ahead but they had not laid on sufficient staff. Such a shame because the food was excellent

There weren't any guests in this restuarant as I guess it was still faily early in the evening but the food smelt so good as we walked by we broke a golden rule for us.. to not eat in an empty restuarant.. What a good decision.. 2 locals came in for takeaways, always a good sign if the locals eat... More

I went out with my family and starters were really good, prices for those was alright. The mains came out and i had prawns but on menu mine didn't say it came with moodles or mince meat. The flavours were very poor. The best part of the main was the side of garlic nan. For 3 people it was quite... More

Really lovely quality food, great service and a decent price. Didnt realise it was an indian restaurant at first nearly walked straight by it, but really pleased I went in.

My husband and I love spicy food and after 3 weeks of travel eating "nice", mild meals, we found Cafe Romna near our hotel. It was perfect. The fusion of tastes was creative and the layers meant each dish was totally different and imbued with a depth of delicious taste. The service was friendly and efficient also. A wonderful meal... On holiday in the UK, we came to Wells from London. London is noted for its Indian/Pakistani cuisine, and we had a good dinner at an Indian restaurant there. But Cafe Romna in Wells - serving "fusion cuisine and traditional Bangladeshi" - was much better -- outstanding, in fact. My wife's starter, dhall nimkii, was so good and the green... More

I like to travel around and last time I visited I came across this restaurant in Wells and was very hopeful from the outside, even though the name was confusing as I was not sure if it was an Indian restaurant or not... I had to walk down a narrow path before entering the restaurant, which was unusual even though... More

I came in on a Thursday night on the same week as carnival and because of this I was expecting it to be quite although it turned out my partner and I were the only customers, a pleasant surprise really as the other reviews had pointed to the service being the only downside. The curry I had was delicious, chicken... More

The staff are a little reserved at first although perfectly polite but by the end of the evening were so impressed by our little boy manfully eating his curry and joining in the conversation that they gave him a free dessert! We thoroughly enjoyed our meals and would definitely return again. The food and service were great and the Naan... More
