Brilliant food and staff! Especially the smiley chefs through the kitchen door! Food was great. Lovely range of sandwiches, snacks and hit meals along with hot drinks.

We enjoyed a late lunch having just completed a circular work up and around Cheddar Gorge one Sunday in November. It's a delightful café. Although it was quite late for lunch the café was still busy. We were offered a choice of tables and quickly seated. The food was very good, tasty and decent portions - all home made I... More

This is a lovely little café in a lovely location alongside the stream running through the village. We stopped in for lunch and had 2 excellent meals, followed by coffee. Throughout the service was warm, friendly and efficient, despite the place being very busy. There is a wide range of choice on the menu that caters for all tastes and... More

Yes indeed, before I could raise my cup of latte, my lovely wife sent hers flying, spilling the frothy liquid over the table, the wall and herself. Luckily she managed to avoid being scalded, but nevertheless she was immediately surrounded by concerned staff offering "cold comps" which were thankfully not needed. Our 'light' Sunday lunches (or so we thought) were... More

Stopped in this lovely village as a visitor with my family members from Yorkshire, and spent lunchtime in Edelweiss having a drink and sandwich, rather than the full English Sunday lunch. The sandwiches were tasty and appetising with choices of panini or granary or focaccia. The staff, young ladies of teenage years were helpful, polite and professional. The Sunday roasts... More

We've often eaten at the Eidelweiss when we visit my parents who live in Cheddar. Always a nice experience whether for lunch or tea and cake! Unfortunately during this visit my father was taken very ill - the staff were brilliant. They were very quick to call the ambulance, very reassuring, a first aider looked after him (and us). It... Called in here when visiting beautiful Cheddar Gorge and it was a great decision, the place is very small but we didn't have to wait long for a table, we chose the 3 course set meal for £13.95 and it was delicious, the only slight negative was the wait for dessert, some of the staff had gone and only 2...
