Small and white, clean and bright

Very pretty décor inside, and very well presented. Extremely clean, and pleasing to the eye. Tables were not overcrowded. Very good selection on the menu. Service was very attentive. Food was of very good quality. Will visit again.

I have given this establishment 1 star, and that is based on the service. The quality of the food was extremely poor and for the price charged is a complete riff off. We ordered 2 pannini's one chicken and one tuna, on the menu it stated it come with a side salad and coleslaw. Well a more accurate description would... More

A small restaurant at the bottom of Cheddar with a view over a Stream Quote "Gluten Free Cream Tees at no extra cost" Too good for my wife to miss as she is Coeliac As she is also diabetic it later messed up her sugar levels however her comment was "What a Treat" Very small on site parking but not... We cycled to Cheddar from Yatton station on the Strawberry line cycle path. The Edelweiss cafe is situated just by the river at the start of the road that passes up through the Gorge. We parked our bikes up on the cycle racks next to a supermarket and walked up to the cafe. The pavement through the village is a... More

The lightest, fluffiest scones I have ever tasted, with the creamiest cream (if there is such a saying) with the most refreshing pot of tea. I would have no problem dining here at any time of the day, any day of the year. We arrived around 2.30pm with my father for a afternoon filler and we were not disappointed, greeted... More

My experience of this establishment was with family members from abroad. They have been used to eating in decent restaurants all their lives. HORROR! Our experience of this has made me embarrassed to be from Somerset. Overcooked frozen carrots, frozen peas, frozen Yorkshire puddings and frozen broccoli were just piled on the plate and looked so unappetising. The beef had... More

I am amazed at your review! All your above facts are incorrect, and I am lost at how you arrived at them. Each of the dishes you chose were served to many other people that lunchtime, and all the feedback, which we always ask for, was positive - and all with cleared plates. Our other customers thoroughly enjoyed these meals,... More

Bypassed this place for lunch but now wish we hadn't, stopped in for tea and scones instead - which were amazing, the best I've had in the UK and nearly as good as my grandma's! Such a cute little restaurant too, very well furnished and decorated. Very polite, prompt and friendly service. Would recommend the scones (wish I got a... More

So lovely to have fresh home cooked food with good quality ingredients. The roast beef sandwich was excellent home cooked beef and fresh delicious bread. Scones again homemade and delicious with lots of cream and jam. Also great service and nice decor!

Only way to start the day! Had a lovely breakfast before starting the walk through the gorge. Locally sourced food , great service. Reasonably priced. Coffee and tea very good.
