We called in today as we fancied a Sunday roast, the restaurant was packed which was a good sign and only 1 table free which we took. We ordered top side beef, it was excellent, huge portion of veg and the roast potatoes amazing.10/10. Unfortunately the pudding not so good, we ordered apple and... read more

Be careful if you order what is described off the menu as 'Fresh Squeezed Orange Juice'. When I ordered 3 of these for my family what was served came out of a carton, not an orange. The staff were not trained to handle this and, although a refund was obtained, it seemed grudging at best. I will not be returning... More

Thank you very much Christopher for taking the time to write your review. Gosh, this experience must have really affected you to be writing this four months later, I am so sorry for the upset it must have caused, and for your confusion. Let me if I may, help with this confusion. Our menu clarifies that we sell, quote: 'FRESH,... More

We first visited several weeks ago and arrived for breakfast at 11.45am not realising they only serve it until 11am, which considering they don't open till 10am isn't very long. They were completely empty and the staff were stood chatting but they still turned us away saying that breakfast was finished. They must be doing incredibly well to let customers... More

We travelled down from preston on our way to dorset every year for the past eight years and always call in at Cheddar Gorge for Breakfast and we have our breakfast at our usual cafe but on this occasion it was closed with no explanation on the door or anything so we asked in the local sweet shop and they... As I write this, my wife and I are sitting in the cafe enjoying a lovely meal of gluten free fish and chips, and chicken, cranberry and cheese melt. The food is absolutely fabulous and the service even better. The food came out wonderfully quickly and the portion sizes are huge. Which was a particular suprise as the place was... More

Husband & I called in here & had a lovely hot drink before exploring the caves. Friendly quaint little place, great service although we totally forgot to pay & the poor lady had to catch us across the road at the bus stop... lol might be better to pay when ordering to avoid easy mistakes like this! Loved it though... More

Popped in for a mid morning coffee, ended up having 2 and a scone with jam and cream! The scone was still warm and the coffee was amazing (Cortado). The service was very good and the establishment well decorated, clean in tidy. If you want a place to have a coffee and watch the world go by, this is the... More

During our recent 3 week holiday we visited Edelweiss 5 times for lunch. How anyone can complain about the food or the service I do not know! We had appetising meals all served by very pleasant staff We certainly would recommend this quaint and spotlessly clean tearoom to anyone,

Stopped here for a cake and coffee on Sunday. The staff were friendly and efficient. The food and drinks were good and hot and very tasty. You can sit outside and watch the Cheddar Gorge world go by. I will visit here again
