Adorable

Stopped in here to warm up from the cold caves and to shelter from the rain. The place was super busy as I think people had a similar idea to us so it was a bit of squish inside the small tea rooms. However, the place has a stunning garden which we would have love to have enjoyed if the... read more

Popped in for a tea and cake stop. Sat in the upstairs garden which is small but very nicely done. Good way of making the most of the space you have. Inside is very old fashioned probably 50's era, but it works. The old music playing and films as well. Very interesting place to stop, but also very nice. Good... More

We stayed in cheddar for a week at the end of June and stopped in here for a lunch. As others have said its now the lion rock tea rooms so about time trip advisor updated this. The restaurant seems to have a fifties feel which we liked. We sat in the garden at the rear, which was small but... More

We always visit what was known as derricks tea rooms, now the lion rock or something. They have improved the inside but I believe the food has not improved and has in fact gone down hill. I had a ploughmans and it consisted of a salad, small portion of chutney, three different cheeses (It didn't state three different cheeses on... More

The chilli was very good, homemade with homemade chips thoroughly enjoyed it. My husbands sandwich was good however compared to another comparable cafe he... More

We live locally and decided to see what the new refurbishment looked like. It's classy with themed dining rooms. I felt we were Alice in Wonderland. The emporium of tea to choose from with Scones and Clotted cream were delicious. Service friendly, even at 4 p.m. a smile and charming.A must go to you won't be disappointed

Delighted this great T room has recently reopened after a complete refurbishment. Beautiful inside and now painted a striking blue on the outside. As others have said renamed as Lions Rock but the comprehensive menu remains offering good value for excellent quality food. We had the Classic High Tea which was super. As a local we Visit the Gorge often... More

Derricks tea room has recently changed its name to Lions Rock Tea Room, more appropriate as the top floor of the tea room looks out onto the rock itself. The location is lovely and the tea room has been refurbished beautifully - inside individual rooms, all with a retro theme. The jewel in the crown though is the open garden... More
