Always visited Derricks once a summer as a special treat. Always have the soup & scone deal, soups are always delicious and can't get enough of the cream tea! Definitely worth a visit, even on a cold day! :)

This is a great little cafe directly opposite the NT shop in Cheddar Gorge. They offer a brilliant selection of cream teas, all of which can be done gluten free. The rest of the menu is pretty standard, but it is nice to have a choice of scones as a GF diner!

Second time we've visited Derricks Tea rooms. Stopped in for lunch whilst visiting Cheddar Gorge caves. Had soup and a sandwich which was nice. Good choice of cream teas we had the cherry cream tea. Bit pricey but what you would expect for a touristy area, still probably cheaper than Costa just up the road and in a much nicer... More

We had cream teas in here (right opposite Gough's cave) in the garden at the rear. The service was second to none from very friendly staff. The service was very quick and the food was delicious. Very much worth a visit and so much nicer than plastic coffee from Costa across the road. I think it's criminal that this big... More

Popped in for lunch and sat outside. The cutlery, pots and tables are nicely decorated. We had nice sandwiches, soup, tea and scones. The staff are friendly, service was quick and it has a nice atmosphere. Only slight negative was one of the sandwiches weren't filled all the way into the corners.

visiting this lovely part of somerset we decided to have a lunch in this establishment and thought it was gorgeous, traditional tea rooms with a mighty fine extensive menu and we were lucky to get a seat out in the garden on a shower free sunday the décor looked a bit like it needed a bit of sprucing up but... This is a great little place to have a light lunch (saving room for cakes for dessert!) in a great setting. Would definitely recommend it.

The hidden gem of this busy tea room is the garden at the back of the building. The garden sandwiched snugly on terraces between the gorge and the walls of the tea room. Canopies shelter most of the tables. (Ask if there are any tables available at the till.) We arrived mid afternoon and had Traditional cream teas and sandwiches... More
