I have been going to this tea room in Cheddar whenever I visit for as long as I can remember but hadn't been in some time, we live in bath and were visiting nearby so decided to pop into cheddar as I specifically wanted scones and tea! My friend was on nil by mouth so couldn't have anything. On arrival... More

My boyfriend and I stopped by for an afternoon tea on a sunny October afternoon. The tea room was traditionally decorated with music nicely accompanying the meal. Service was very quick and the cakes and scones were delicious. The place and staff were unpretentious and we felt very relaxed, which is not always the case in tea rooms! We only... More

Riding Harley's into Cheddar Gorge for the sole reason of having afternoon tea. Seemed that from reviews seen on Tripadvisor, the only place we should stop was Derricks..... WERE NOT DISAPPOINTED!!!! Greeted with a lovely smile at the front door while my 2 fellow riders were finishing their 'smoke' outside. It was suggested that we could try the decked area... More

We decided to stop in Cheddar on our way back from holiday to get away from the usual service station food! As we were driving through towards the car parks this place caught my eye and we decided we'd stop there for lunch. Our main aim was to sample some Cheddar cheese! We ordered a quiche, a ploughmans platter and... More

This little tea room is amazing, the garden is beautiful and whenever my family and I go to Cheddar (every year) we plan to go to Derrick's more than once! Food was wonderful and the milkshakes are to die for, a must visit!

Always visited Derricks once a summer as a special treat. Always have the soup & scone deal, soups are always delicious and can't get enough of the cream tea! Definitely worth a visit, even on a cold day! :)

This is a great little cafe directly opposite the NT shop in Cheddar Gorge. They offer a brilliant selection of cream teas, all of which can be done gluten free. The rest of the menu is pretty standard, but it is nice to have a choice of scones as a GF diner!

Second time we've visited Derricks Tea rooms. Stopped in for lunch whilst visiting Cheddar Gorge caves. Had soup and a sandwich which was nice. Good choice of cream teas we had the cherry cream tea. Bit pricey but what you would expect for a touristy area, still probably cheaper than Costa just up the road and in a much nicer... More

We had cream teas in here (right opposite Gough's cave) in the garden at the rear. The service was second to none from very friendly staff. The service was very quick and the food was delicious. Very much worth a visit and so much nicer than plastic coffee from Costa across the road. I think it's criminal that this big... More
