Traditional Pub

We frequented this pub during our weekend in Bath. The staff and regular customers are very welcoming. Well kept ales and ciders. This pub has 2 bars and is bursting with character. A great place to while away the hours whilst you indulge in polite conversation.

We ate here on a very hectic Saturday evening. The pub was busy and pleasantly full - as were we after the wonderful pies and mash and a couple of pints of very high quality real ale. We are not CAMRA guerrillas but enjoy real pubs with proper beer and good, honest food. This rang all the bells and was... More

This pub specialises in pies. They are tasty, well made and big. It is a real ales pub which had a wide range on offer. It was busy for a Tuesday evening which gives an indication about the quality of the food.

This Hotel specialises in pies having 7 different types on the menu. Both our meals were very enjoyable and the upstairs dining area is casual but comfortable. The cost of the meals and drinks were very reasonable so if you are looking for a hearty meal in a good atmosphere give the Raven consideration

Well worth a visit for the tasty pie range and the excellent beers, very popular with Bath rugby fans and away fans alike on match day

We ate at The Raven after a long day spent walking around Bath. We had visited the previous day and been disappointed by an extremely rude barmaid (who, when asked to top up what looked like a short pint, offered to pour some of the beer out as they use oversized pint glasses and the measure was actually a bit... The reason we stopped into The Raven is the fact that we were checking into Harington's Hotel directly across the street and we were extremely hungry. We are glad we did. The pies were very good (choices of gravy) over the mashed potatoes which was just what we needed after our falconry adventure. Lagers and real ales are what you... More

The Raven was suggested to us by a local. Easy to find....and has two floors...both serving food and their local beers. Went up stairs and selected a beer...the bar tenders offered advice and small samples so you'd get the best beer for you. Take a menu....sit down....make your choice and then go back to the bar to order. I order... More

We are 2 couples from the U.S. We 4 visited The Raven on a busy Sunday afternoon and we soon found that we had a lot of new friends. The tables are close together, but the atmosphere was of camaraderie . We all ordered meat pies with mashed potatoes and gravy (none of us had never had these before). They... More
