I'd been in England for 10 days and hadn't had a meat pie; time was running out because we left for Amsterdam the next day. After checking every menu in Bath I finally just went back to my B&B for advice and the innkeepers (Three Abbey Green) sent me here. It has eight different meat pies on the menu in... More

Came here some time ago but I still remember that The Raven is a proper Pub serving good beer and pies. Hopefully I'll go back there someday soon

The food and ale at the Raven are quite good, but the service is sullen and perfunctory. It seems to be an imposition on the barman to serve the food.

First trip to Bath and, encouraged by the reviews, tried The Raven for lunch. Good atmosphere, popular and a comfortable décor. Clearly one must try the pies so I went with the beef pie and it fully lived up to expectations. She tried the coarse pate and was equally pleased. Good value, great food, a traditional pub - what more... More

A really good selection of beer at this pub. The pie and mash is to be recommended too. Good location, being central but off the main tourist roads so not too busy.

Having read the reviews we went for a beer or two and a bite to eat before rugby on a Friday evening. We loved it !! A great choice of beers and helpful staff to guide you and a fabulous choice of pub food especially the pies and sausage !! There is a really great atmosphere and a "must" whilst... More

We stopped here in the afternoon for lunch. The food is to die for, it's affordable and the staff are really friendly. We will be back.

Staying at Bath for a few days so did a search on TA for restaurants. After seeing the reviews for this place (and being pie fanatics) we visited on our first day. The downstairs room is very small but there's also an upstairs bar which is a great place to eat with fans to cool you down on a hot... More

Visited twice recently. Lovely old style pub specialising in pies and sausages, located centrally in Bath. These have got to be the best pies in Bath, good selection and very tasty also very reasonably pirced and very good selection of beers and lagers. But beware this establishment is very busy even at 18.00 hours and booking not taken.
