Description: The Bath Priory restaurant in Bath has held a Michelin star since October 2012. Found within the Bath Priory Hotel, a Georgian mansion of honey-coloured stone, it’s a great place when you want sophisticated food in an elegant setting. Executive Chef Sam Moody, creates stellar dishes with a strong emphasis on kitchen garden ingredients with an inventive use of traditional herbs and flowers. Where possible, all meat is locally sourced and the menu sticks closely to what’s in season. "

My wife and I were extremely lucky to have been invited out for an evening's entertainment by Mallory The Jewellers. After going to the Theatre Royal we were whisked off to the Priory Hotel for a late supper. It was very late by the time we arrived, but you wouldn't have thought it by the full attention of the restaurant... More

We have not always had the best of experiences here but our after theatre supper was outstanding. The hotel is a nice attractive venue, even if the restaurant is a little soulless. However we arrived to be received by staff who took us to our table and served up a veritable feast of flavours. The food portion sizes were perfect... More

We were charmed and amused by the staff at this hotel. We met so many interesting characters that went out of their way to charm our 3 year old, help us with dinner recommendations, give directions, and make our stay as comfortable as possible. The room was large and very comfortable, and the modern furniture juxtaposed nicely with the great... More

Ive written a fair few reviews on here. I have to say this is the most positive Ive ever been able to be. Went for lunch with my partner for her birthday. Helped by the lovely weather no doubt but the whole experience was excellent. Sat out on the terrace for drinks before dining in the restaurant. Very pretty gardens... More

We stayed on Tuesday 26th August to celebrate our sliver wedding anniversary, and chose the tasting menu with the accompanying wines for each course. The food was superb and the wines were beautifully matched and explained. Some of the wines we would not have thought of ourselves, with one or two "left field choices" included, but, then that's the fun... More

We've been exploring some of the English country house hotels that serve that delicious speciality: afternoon tea. The hotel is conveniently located around a mile from the city centre. Typical old Bath stone large house, beautifully decorated with lots of antiques, old paintings and having a great ambience. Afternoon tea followed usual offering with a selection of finger sandwiches; scones... More

We had the tasting menu on Saturday evening. Each dish was explained to us by our waiters in detail and they were very cheerfully helpful throughout the evening. Most memorable dishes were the scallop and the desserts - what a wonderful note to end a perfect meal on.

On first glance you think tired old clichéd manor house. Wondering why you didn't bring Nan. But... Then, it has a surprisingly amount of warmth and heart, an honesty in hospitality that resembles some of the famous auberges of France. The food is clean, modern with a classical nod. Light, and with excellent depth of flavour too. Seasoning is from... More

When you want to dine in style this could be that place. Great service and really great food and wine served in the surroundings that shout class and sophistication. Not pretentious at all. The Priory made our anniversary celebrations with family very special. The only part that felt rushed was when we arrived and were encouraged to choose our drinks... More

Faultless, from the greeting you receive upon arrival to the thanks that you get upon departure this restaurant helps to give Bath it's high quality reputation. Everything about this restaurant is good, the total experience, menu, service, wine selection and ambiance all contribute to a wholly worthwhile experience.
