The perfect Apéritif venue on a beautiful sunny evening ... sipping Provence Rosé (which is difficult to find in Bath) while admiring quintessential English gardens! Very disappointing though that an Hotel with a Michelin Staf restaurant does not understand the concept of an Apéritif. £54 for a bottle of wine, £3.50 for tasteless pitted green olives! No crisps/nuts offered with... More

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for my 40th birthday weekend and loved every minute. I cannot rate this hotel high enough. Everything was perfect there. Even the smell x

The whole experience was what you would expect from a fine-dining establishment - elegant surroundings, delicious food and excellent service. The more capacious diner may need a little something afterwards to fill in the gaps - portions are on the dainty side.

Service, somewhat arrogant and really quite slow. Two and a half hours for lunch, too long. Wonderful tastes with the food but make certain that you keep ordering bread as the portions are really very small. Worth the money, not really but an experience every time that we go. Must be doing something right as we do keep returning. Watch... More

Been here a number of times in recent years and the standard of food is improving. Now well worth its Michelin star! Service is excellent. Beautiful gardens in which to enjoy a drink beforehand. Downside is the ghastly dated artwork in the sitting rooms - ugh - time for a modern revamp.
