Afternoon tea - not as good as I was expecting !

Was treated to afternoon tea for my birthday , was very excited as it is lovely surroundings there - the sandwiches were okay, not offered anymore , had to ask for more tea and water. The cakes were quite simple and basic , was expecting more from this standard of hotel. The service was very slow... read more

Excellent, Service was second to none and the interior was very grand with beautiful gardens, which sadly due to the weather we were unable to investigate but will definitely be on our agenda next time and we will definitely be returning. We were shown to the beautiful drawing room where we served drinks and canapés and then onto the dining... More

I had been reallly looking forward to afternoon tea as my friend was treating me for my birthday. We were shown to a lovely room with sofas which to me would be an area to wait or have drinks but I was surprised to see the coffee table in front of us laid out ready for our food. We were... More

Outstanding. Pure Brilliance and Excellence. An amazing place with wonderful staff, gardens, rooms, swimming pool, space. The food and drink exceeded our expectations by a long way. We were truly blessed by all that The Bath Priory did for us on our day. We will definitely be back and so will our guests. We've had so much great feedback from... More

me and my partner chose to spend friday the 13th feb at The Priory restaurant to celebrate valentines. After trying to book a table a week in advance and being told it was completely full and we didn't have a chance of getting a table. We wasn't even put on the waiting list because of the amount of customers on... More

Took my Grandma for afternoon tea - lovely room with a beautiful view out of the window to the gardens. The afternoon tea was very classic so maybe they could look to modernize some of the cakes as they are all quite old-fashioned. Overall was lovely and it is a beautiful hotel.

We went for lunch and were not sure what to expect. While we were sitting in the lounge waiting to order our menu choices we were served with some nice appetisers. The restaurant itself was light and comfortable with good views across the grounds. The service was excellent with attention to detail, the initial starters, a small mug of mushroom... More

We enjoyed a very special Sunday lunch to celebrate my husband's 40th birthday. The service was excellent and the surroundings relaxing and unpretentious. Every course from the canapés to petit fours were perfectly executed and incredibly delicious. A set three course lunch for £30 a head is also excellent value for money. We did bring our eight year old son... More

We weren't sure what to expect from our lunch here - would it be overly formal? However, we were pleasantly surprised. Although it had the starched white tablecloths and antiques, it had quite a relaxed atmosphere and unobtrusive service. The food was definitely a cut above the usual - I would have been interested to return for an evening meal.

The somewhat old-fashioned setting of the Bath Priory Hotel hosts a comfortable, classic dining room with food from a contemporary, Michelin-starred chef. We were warmly greeted and taken into the drawing room for cocktails and freshly made canapés - all tasty and interesting. Then, to the dining room and seated at a generous round table - so nice when usually... More
