The Bath Priory restaurant in Bath has held a Michelin star since October 2012. Found within the Bath Priory Hotel, a Georgian mansion of honey-coloured stone, it’s a great place when you want sophisticated food in an elegant setting. Executive Chef Sam Moody, creates stellar dishes with a strong emphasis on kitchen garden ingredients with an inventive use of traditional herbs and flowers. Where possible, all meat is locally sourced and the menu sticks closely to what’s in season. "

Although I've had dinner as a guest many years ago, I found the restaurant to be very formal and the food took a long time to arrive. It was of as high a standard as other top hotels in Bath, but not outstanding. However, their Afternoon Tea is excellent. The selection of cakes and sandwiches are exuisite, and the teas... More

We had our Dinner at the Bath Priory Resturant for our 1 year wedding anniversary. The evening began with aperitifs in the lounge with a lovely glass of bubbly. The staff were very friendly and helpful and served us in a timely manner. Food was exceptional!!!! We ordered from the al a carte menu. Dinner was then followed by tea... More

My husband and I went the The Priory restaurant last night. We were celebrating a number of occasions, the most notable of which was that it was his 60th birthday yesterday. The meal was a generous Christmas gift from my son. All started well. The staff were attentive and we were having a good experience until immediately before our starter... More

I have taken my wife here for her birthday for several years but never again. The whole evening was a big disappointment, the meal was of a poor standard and the lack of attention to detail was amazing for what after all is a Michelin starred hotel. We went to a number of other restaurants in Bath all of which... More

We had the 3 course lunch on Sunday for £35 a head, this offered great value for a high quality elegant meal. The surroundings are very attractive, the service is very helpful and not at all stuffy, tables are large well set out with smartly starched cloths. The menu did not offer a huge amount of choice but everything we ate... We ate in the restaurant for 2 nights......tasting menu the first night and a la carte the second. Both were simply outstanding. The service was good as well. We went with wine pairings both nights and these were creative. The hotel is also nice so overall experience was memorable

My dining partner and I visited at Saturday lunch time. This is nowhere to visit if you are in a hurry. Enjoy the relaxing atmosphere. The menu provided a wonderful choice and was well prepared. The staff were efficient and attentive. A thoroughly relaxing and enjoyable three hours.

I’ve eaten at The Bath Priory numerous times now and it really sets such a high standard of food, ambiance, service and value that no one else in the area can get close to. For a full 8 course tasting menu or a two course lunch the food quality and diners enjoyment is well above anything locally. Sadly this presents... More

This is definitely the lushest place in Bath! Michelin-starred food coupled with a lovely setting and friendly staff. Can't fault this place at all.
