Description: The Bath Priory restaurant in Bath has held a Michelin star since October 2012. Found within the Bath Priory Hotel, a Georgian mansion of honey-coloured stone, it’s a great place when you want sophisticated food in an elegant setting. Executive Chef Sam Moody, creates stellar dishes with a strong emphasis on kitchen garden ingredients with an inventive use of traditional herbs and flowers. Where possible, all meat is locally sourced and the menu sticks closely to what’s in season. "

We had the taster menu here on Sunday 23rd November. The food was absolutely amazing. We had the wine tasting selection with each course. I am a fussy eater and to adjust the taster selection was not a problem. Christina was lovely as were the rest of the staff including the lady who had picked each wine for each course.... More

I have thought very carefully about writing this review for several days. This not a negative review for the sake of it, but I am really puzzled as to why our lunch was so average. We celebrated my wifes' birthday last Friday by having lunch at the Priory. Staff were fantastic and even presented my wife with a Happy Birthday... More

a month ago I travelled with Hazel to visit Casa Mia - a "must do" venue from around the randomly M-Starred UK. She is usually more than trustworthy on food choices, but for several reasons, the venue didn't live up to the credit card receipt. But we loved Bristol. So a month later, there we were again. this time "twinning"... More

I was taken here for my birthday. After a lovely cocktail in the sunshine on the balcony overlooking the green gardens, we were escorted inside - to the warm and open dining room. We ordered the special tasting menu and it was really really something. Loved the truffle bites but all the plates were delicious and beautifully presented. The matching... More

Bet you thought this outrageous women with a truffle fixation will never write a review (last November) about how amazing the head chef was, wrong! What a story... It was a truffle fest degustation, awesome presentation, awesome food but me being me 2 dishes out of 6 had the truffle that I was expecting. The other 4 (and don't get... More

Absolutely beautiful hotel with very good restaurant and top class service. By far the best restaurant in bath for both service and food. Highly recommended you visit this hotel/restaurant whether for a glass of wine or to taste delicious food. Just beats the Olive Tree for service and food, but only just. Love the wonderful character and charm of the... More

Lovely setting, first class service , quite nice food but I felt a little hungry after the meal. Would have loved a little more of the main meal which was delicious. Shame prices for lunch have increased... Reasonably good wine but as pricy as London.

We had the Lunch Menu but any of the courses were not worth even two knives and forks not talking about Michelin Star. The soup was nothing more than a green water and the fish was a bit burnt on coating (intentionally). The chef clearly doesn't have good tastes. I wouldn't serve this in a Michelin Star Restaurant.

Dear Ariel N, I have attempted to contact you directly; however we have an incorrect telephone number for you. Should you have the time, I would be extremely grateful if you would contact me directly, as it would appear that we have let ourselves down on this occasion, and we are also keen to learn from your experience. A disappointment for the big price tag. The food was technically well prepared for the minuscule sized courses of the tasting menu. Don't expect any unusual or edgy food pairings or crazy contemporary creativity, it is classic French nouvelle cuisine (not heavy sauces etc). The amuse bouche were tasty morsels of pork and a salmon dip that set our expectations... More

I took my husband here for his birthday, we had the surprise menu and the wine flight. It was perfect. The welcome and service can't be faulted. The food was exquisite and francesca choose the perfect drink to accompany each course. This was a selection from white wine, beer, red wine, port and vodka. Would definitely recommend it. Yes it's... More
