Actually, it's my favourite bar in Bath, especially in the summer when they have outside seating and dining. The only reason I'm not giving a '5' is because if I do, it'll be full of every Tom, Dick & Harry, and that will *never* do. Tongue in cheek, but true.

A great burger and ploughmans using wonderful and innovative fresh ingredients. We try to have lunch here every time we visit Bath.

Popped in for a quick night cap on way back to hotel. Very friendly bar staff and good selection of whisky.

We just wanted a nightcap and walked in to find on the friendliest bar staff we've ever met. And they had Brugal rum! Reasonable prices, great choice of drinks and food - highly recommend!!

We were in Bath for the day and just strolling around and my father wanted fish & chips, and the sign said Best Fish & Chips in Bath so we entered. We decided to eat inside so we didn't have to wait for a seat outside. It was very nice inside and the waitress although very busy was very nice.... More

My gf and I are here. The service was good and the food was great... Especially the chips. It came quickly and the waitress was good at bringing us more drinks when needed. Only disappointment was the already added 10% service charge... I like to think that I am leaving that out of choice (which I happily would have done)... More

We've eaten here quite a few times over many years. The food is generally good, so is the beer and the wine is good 'wine bar' standard. It is a busy place and can get a bit grubby in the bar - you expect that but the restaurant room has always been well presented. When paying about £12 for fish... More

Even fish and chips can taste very good when you're at the a restaurant where they know how to make it.

We visited at the end of a difficult day, and they were just clearing the pre-theatre rush. We sat down in the restaurant and ordered, and waited and waited. A large party came in about 25 minutes after we did, while we were still waiting. After another 25 minutes, they got their first courses, and we were still waiting. I'm... More

We decided to eat at the Garricks after recommendations from our waiter the night before. We weren't expecting much so we were very happy when our beetroot and ham hock starters arrived. They looked beautiful, we both opted for sirloins for our mains which again were presented well and perfectly cooked. A nice way to end our stay in Bath.
