Description: Situated next to the Theatre Royal in the centre of Bath, the Garrick's Head Pub and and Dining Room offers a delicious selection of locally inspired dishes. Using seasonal ingredients and making everything fresh on site the kitchen serves traditional pub dishes such as fresh cod in beer batter with triple cooked chips and "the best burger in Bath" to more complex creations, Venison steak with a mini cottage pie of venison or poached Guinea fowl with wild garlic both popular at the moment. The Garrick's Head is ideally situated for pre Theatre dining as it is directly next door to the theatre so you are only minutes from your seat. Often described as a country pub in the city centre the Garrick's Head has roaring fires, four real ales and over 50 whiskeys, very much a pub with a dining room there are also over 50 seats outside on the terrace, perfect for watching Baths beautiful people come and go.

Recently visited for Sunday lunch with family. The pub had double-booked our initial 1.30pm slot (good job we called the day before to confirm) and offered us 12 midday instead, which is a little early for lunch, but we had little choice as everywhere else in Bath was fully booked due to the Christmas markets. We arrived at around five... More

Enjoyed a really nice Saturday 3 course meal from the set menu (£15) last weekend (lunch 12 til 2.30). The quality and presentation of the food was excellent and the staff very friendly. All of the courses tasted great and were served fresh cooked from the kitchen. The choices on the set menu are limited (more choice available on the... More

As we had little time for lunch before a matinee performance, we wanted to be in the vicinity of the theatre and only wanted a quick lunch. Seeing the pub's outside blackboard, claiming "the best fish and chips in Bath" we decided to take the easy course and went into the bar and ordered fish and chips and a glass... More

We went shopping in Bath on Saturday and decided to have a spot of lunch at the Garrick's Head. Three of us went for a ham and mustard sandwich served with homemade crisps and salad! Well where shall I start, bread was stale, opened the sandwich to find just a smidgen of mayo on one side same with mustard on... More

Found this pub by accident wandering round Bath on a Friday evening. The dining room was full but we found a table in the main bar. It contained of a mixture of local regulars complete with the wet dog to pre theatre goers eating before going next door. Fine range of draft ales and ciders. The food, especially the triple... We just had soup and chips but though I wasn't expecting it, both were excellent, and everything tasted like the owners had chosen quality products. The bread served with the soup was out of this world!
