I have lived in Thailand since 2001 and am married to a Thai lady that I met at work when I first moved to Bangkok. We both agree that the food in this restaurant is the closest to true Thai that we have had outside of Thailand. There are many good Thai restaurants in Bath but this one edges it... More

Lived in Bath for 4 years and visited this place (both eat in and take away) far too frequently. I love Thai food and this is still my favourite despite moving away and trying other places. Friendly staff, fresh food, love it!

This is a small place where the food is tasty, fresh and worth for money. I have been here to celebrate a friend birthday and since then I always come here when I fancy thai food (the best in town!!). The waiting staff are friendly, nothing is too much trouble for them. The service is quick and my compliments to... More

This is the place to visit when you need to refresh and take a breather from the busy city whilst at the same time enjoy some nicely prepared and presented food. We called in for lunch and thought that it presented good value for money along with good service. A good selection of food including vegetarian options all make for... More

We recently visited Bath and had meals on consecutive nights at Thai Basil and Yum Yum Thai. In that comparison, Thai Basil lost. We liked: Traditional decor and ambience (except it was near empty when we ate early - though that was doubtless due to the World Cup Final that evening) We didn't like: Aircon inefficient or not switched on... I have been to Thai Basil several times last year, and I really love it! The food is exceptional and servings are generous. And the staff is efficient and friendly. This is definitely a place to visit: I have invited many different guests there and they are always very happy with their experience at Thai Basil.

I enjoyed the lunchtime special, which was a huge three courses. I was pleased they had several vegetarian options. There were not a lot of people around. The service was prompt and the food was good. It was excellent value for money.

Friendly staff, excellent food, not too pricy. Had quite a long wait inbetween starter and main, but not too bad. They were very busy. Quite a walk out of town centre, but it's worth a visit for a good quality meal.

After a very disappointing starters at Thai Balcony we decided to ditch our mains and went to our usual Thai Basil for main course ... 10/10 food, ambience, service. Papaya salad was spot on, we tried a squid salad which I would definitely recommend!
