Description: Tagine Zhor is an authentic Moroccan restaurant run by the Casablancan...
Tagine Zhor is an authentic Moroccan restaurant run by the Casablancan Moroccan born owner. He takes pride in his Fez cuisine because it is based on traditional recipes that have been passed down from his loving Fez born grandmother "zhor" to him. It is the only finest Moroccan restaurant in Bath and probably in the whole South West of England. The perfect place to experience real Moroccan food cooked and served in a distinctive and traditional manner together with genuine warm hospitality in absolute beautiful Moroccan surroundings. Most meals begin with the simple selection of hot and cold mezze which might include hommos, Olives and Baba Ghannouj served with flat bread. The Tagine may come next served with Cous Cous, rice or Bread. It is a stew made of lamb, Chicken, Fish, Beef, kofta and Basilla. A single plate of dessert will usually consist of baklawas . They are sweet pastries dripping in honey or dusted in icing sugar marks the end of the meal before fresh mint tea or Arabic coffee are served. Do not forget to take a seat on outdoor terrace and enjoy the Shisha pipe and its flavour of tobacco. Also pay a visit to our gem Bazaar Shop downstairs featuring beautiful and unique handmade Moroccan items "great idea for gifts"

Rather too much

We had the set menu for £22.50 each for two courses. In terms of quantity of food this was really good value. Started with the sharing platter. This was excellent with lots of different tastes and textures. It was so appealing it left little room for the main course. The cous cous when it... read more

We arrived very late to Bath and were starving. Almost all dining options had closed. We happened upon Tagine Zhor, which was clearly winding down, and we felt bad even asking if we could still be served. The staff could not have been more welcoming, did not rush us, and gave us their undivided attention. On top of that, the... More

Brilliant food!!. The best service from Muhammed. Really made to feel welcome. Tried the chicken broschette and it was great. My mrs is super fussy when comes to food and she loved it also! Well cooked, good taste and good sized portion!! A great meal topped up with a nice sheesha, mint tea and baclava. 5 star!! Top stuff :))

Lovely evening out. Cosy restaurant with patient and friendly staff who took time to explain unfamiliar dishes and were clearly knowledgable. Flavours are just amazing and the nicest Moroccan food I've ever had. It's cosy without being cramped and feels very relaxed. Starter, main, soft drink mint tea for two was just under £55. Excellent value. We will be back.

Wanted something a little different and this provided us with excellent Moroccan food. We visited at lunch time and were the only ones in, but after 30 minutes or so the place was soon filling up. There are also tables outside. We had the set lunch menu 2 courses for £12.95. There was plenty of choice on each course for... More

The food is lovely, well presented and delicious. Service is impeccable. Prices are reasonable compared to similar restaurant in London. Quality of food was way better than the morrocan restaurants in London. I would highly recommend this restaurant while visiting Bath. Good luck to the owner and keep up with the good job.

Want something that isn't standard cafe/restaurant style? Then definitely try Tagine Zhor. Textures and flavours that are deep and lasting. Arak is strongly recommended with the meal both as a flavour enhancer and digestive. It doesn't get much better than this.

We were welcomed by a charming waitress who was very happy to explain the dishes to us, and who was attentive throughout. The food was excellent, more than enough, and the decor was very authentic. A lovely meal with excellent service :)

Visited the Tagine Zhor after reviewing the wide choice of restaurants in Bath on Trip Advisor. We were looking for somewhere slightly different, small with a nice atmosphere. We were not disappointed - this is a fantastic place where the staff are attentive and the food simply excellent. We chose from the evening A la Carte menu - my wife... More
