Description: Tagine Zhor is an authentic Moroccan restaurant run by the Casablancan...
Tagine Zhor is an authentic Moroccan restaurant run by the Casablancan Moroccan born owner. He takes pride in his Fez cuisine because it is based on traditional recipes that have been passed down from his loving Fez born grandmother "zhor" to him. It is the only finest Moroccan restaurant in Bath and probably in the whole South West of England. The perfect place to experience real Moroccan food cooked and served in a distinctive and traditional manner together with genuine warm hospitality in absolute beautiful Moroccan surroundings. Most meals begin with the simple selection of hot and cold mezze which might include hommos, Olives and Baba Ghannouj served with flat bread. The Tagine may come next served with Cous Cous, rice or Bread. It is a stew made of lamb, Chicken, Fish, Beef, kofta and Basilla. A single plate of dessert will usually consist of baklawas . They are sweet pastries dripping in honey or dusted in icing sugar marks the end of the meal before fresh mint tea or Arabic coffee are served. Do not forget to take a seat on outdoor terrace and enjoy the Shisha pipe and its flavour of tobacco. Also pay a visit to our gem Bazaar Shop downstairs featuring beautiful and unique handmade Moroccan items "great idea for gifts"

The staff were very helpful in choosing dishes and we had a great meal. There are a few tables outside which were lovely on a warm summer evening.

Our family visited Bath for the first time this Saturday. At midday, we looked for somewhere to eat and happened across Tagine as we were looking for somewhere which would make our visit memorable - and we struck gold. We all chose to eat from the lunchtime special menu. What stood out for me was the high quality, unhurried service,... More

The absolute stand out meal of our trip to Bath. Unique and unusual. Everything tasted amazing and great value too - we had the £18.95 set meal.

While staying in Bath and looking for something a bit different we came across Tagine Zhor. Neither of us had eaten Moroccan food before so a little uncertain of what we may get. But based on other people's reviews this was certainly not something we wanted to miss. Imported Casablancan beer and recipes passed down from the owner's grandmother, were... More

Stumbled across this restaurant on a weekend visit to Bath in March this year. We like nicely spiced food and wanted something different to English cuisine. Visiting this restaurant early tea time was a good move on our part as later on this popular restaurant became full. (We knew nothing about the place). Their was plenty of choice, the staff... More

Very enjoyable meal. The mezze starter for two with accompanying breads was lovely - we could of ended the meal there! I had the Lamb Tagine which was also excellent. Very atmospheric restaurant, good service and tasty food - what else could you ask for? Just make sure you are hungry before you go!

Amazing restaurant full of Moroccan artefacts giving the environment an authentic feel that is backed up by the superb food. I had Harira soup followed by beef tagine. My partner had the Meze and Koudra Chicken. Wonderful flavours enhanced by the spices, fruit and nuts. Strongly recommend and we are looking forward to a return visit with a larger group.

Good tasty food that is well presented. My husband turned his nose up at the idea of Moroccan food but then polished off a starter and a whole main dish. Great ambiance. We will defiantly be going again
