Food was excellent and very good value. Staff friendly and helpful. Very busy, but managed to get in, without booking.

We've been here a fair few times over the years and again just this last week. It's great. Lots of tables, great atmosphere and my husband reckons it's the best coffee in Bath, in his opinion!

How difficult can it be in a city to find somewhere for breakfast that includes the has Browns and black puddings let alone fried bread. We looked for a good while and being a fussy bunch refused to pay £10 plus for your basic egg and bacon. Then by accident we found Retro. It was full downstairs but plenty of... More

This is a charming little café that produces tasty, fresh food at reasonable prices. I went for the Retro Skyscraper which is a club sandwich with chicken, ham and cheese toasted on granary or white bread. It is huge and comes with chips. Moreover the chicken was real chicken breast, not the reformed slice you get in most sandwiches. At... More

Great experience at this lovely little cafe. After experiencing bad service elsewhere we had left grumpy and badly in need of a breakfast to fill our boots before commencing the Christmas food shop. We were greeted immediately with a smile from the lovely waitress who I must say had an air of both pleasantly and efficiency about her that we... More

Nice little cafe in Bath near the Roman Bath. We had burgers, veggie barguette and their all day long breakfast. Although it was a bit pricey but the food was definitely delicious with huge portion. The staffs were polite, nice and very friendly A nice place for lunch if you don't mind the price.

Another place we have visited many times on our visits to Bath but we were unfortunately disappointed this time. We popped in for breakfast, it was very busy but we were given a table. My husband had the big breakfast (the most expensive on the menu). We really expected more, it came with one slice of toast, no beans and... More

Highly recommend this little cafe for great cooked food, fast and friendly service in a ambience of retro celebration. good, diverse menu and extremely popular with locals as witnessed by umpteen people being turned away as there were a lack of tables!!

As locals to Bath we have been to Cafe Retro several times before in the past. On Monday I popped in for a spot of lunch having spent the morning Christmas shopping. It was busy but I was offered a table for one at the back of the cafe. Unfortunately, the other table at the back of the cafe was... More
