Very Good Breakfasts

Have now been here twice having been told it was the "Best breakfast in Bath". It certainly didn't disappoint! Staff were helpful and happy to swap fried egg for scrambled, and in general the food was very good! Will be back!

Attended here with my boyfriend the morning of Saturday 25th, I ordered 2 poached eggs on granary bread which was lovely- 2 pcs of toast and 2 poached eggs. My boyfriend had ordered the retro breakfast which looked amazing and really clean, no oil or grease in sight. Would definitely recommend. The steps to the toilet are a little steep... More

I've been wanting to try this place for a while - the ambiance reminds me of the cute bistros in mainland Europe. I was excited they had croque madames on the menu - but after tasting it, they really should take it off. The bread was barely toasted and as well as having cheese on the inside, they put it... This is a very cozy and comfortable stop for coffee, lattes, tea and more; or a quick lunch or snack stop. The atmosphere was quiet and very conveniently located on the corner of the main coach stop area in Bath. The surrounding area was very picturesque and the coffee and flavored lattes were delicious. The staff was very pleasant and... More

Had lunch here and wasn't expecting anything out of the ordinary but this turned out to be a great find! The food was delicious, huge portion sizes, good quality and great value. I would definitely recommend eating and drinking here :-)

While waiting for our tour bus, I stopped here to have a cup of something hot. Noticing a variety of hot chocolates on the menu, I decided to try the White Hot Chocolate. I don't want to know how many calories were in that drink...but it was outstanding! I was barely able to finish it, but I did my best.... More

As we waited for our tour bus, we decided to have a bite to eat here. Cute, but small little cafe with tasty food and refreshments. It was a nice place to sit and relax after touring the Roman Baths and the Abbey. We split a chicken "club" sandwich that came with fries. It did not disappoint. Our neighbors had... More

I'm not actually joking I am sat here right now and I am extremely hung over. This place completely saved me from a hang over death. Bacon sarny with a bangin egg and about 7 drinks of all different varieties. You're all now my best friends even if you don't know it. Thank you from the ginger guy that looks... More

We are fortunate enough to live close to Bath and visit 2-3 times a month. This is always our first stop for sustenance. The menu is simple, the food is good as is the coffee. I see eggs benedict has been mentioned and I can confirm its excellent. Service at Cafe Retro is always good too and one of the... More
