An Old Favourite

As a Bathonian I have been visiting Tilleys for years and it never disappoints. Imaginative dishes, beautifully cooked to order and always with fresh vegetables. We booked for a quick lunch before going on to watch Bath Rugby. We had plenty of company as this small cosy restaurant was packed on both floors, many of them rugby supporters. The interesting menu suited carnivores and vegetarians alike. Service was friendly and very efficient given the busy time. Food was well cooked and presented. All in all... More

Good food well cooked. Two/three course evening menu. Nice choice of food and pleasant choice of vegetarian dishes. Staff attentive and there was a restful atmosphere. Would book at weekend. Good value.

Arriving in Bath on a Friday evening without dinner reservations, we were somewhat at a disadvantage. However, the waiter at Tilley's squeezed us in though they were pretty full. The menu was well-rounded with choices for every persuasion: meat, fish, and vegetarian. Everything was tasty. I enjoyed the crepe a la greque, and lemon-ginger mousse for dessert. All at a... More

My girlfriend and I visited this Bistro for a Valentines Day meal for our weekend in Bath. Its my pleasure to say it was a fantastic experience, the establishment had a very cosy and romantic feel despite how busy the night was for them. I felt like they went the extra mile with the petals on the table and the... More

My wife and I had a Valentines meal at Tilleys. We used to go there quite often, but hadn't been for a few years. That was a mistake. We had an excellent meal. The staff were extra attentive because it was a special meal. The food, as usual, was wonderful and cooked to perfection. The ambience is always good in... More

I have been here a number of times and have lived and worked in Bath for many years. I love this place and am always impressed by the friendliness and the quality of the food. It still amazes me that people travel all the way to Bath to go to Carluccios and Jamies Italian etc and don't go to places... More

This friendly, family run business is arguably (in my opinion) the best little bistro/retuarant in the area. The service is excellent, as are the staff who wait on your every need. There are a wide variety of choices that would please anyone's palate. My only advise if you don't want to be disappointed, is try and book in the week,... More

Delicious food and excellent gluten free choices. My husband and I shared a tartiflette to start then I had the Denver steak and he had pork - both very tasty. Amazing chocolate brownie for dessert (gluten free!) and reasonable wine prices. Excellent service - can tell you're in a family run establishment - very refreshing and welcoming. Would definitely return... More

I booked the private room for a hen do on 07/02 and it was quite simply - brilliant! The space you have is perfect for large groups who want to have a pre-drink in the lounge/bar area before sitting down to dinner. The portion sizes were generous, the alcohol was reasonably priced and most importantly we received the most amazing... More
