Visited here with my girlfriend recently and both had a wonderful evening. I loved the overall theme to the restaurant and the atmosphere created. The restaurant itself is below ground within the cellar of the main building. The layout of the tables means everyone is given their own small booth with ample space for the various dishes. I visited here while on holiday. I wasn't impressed in the first instance by finding the restaurant was in a lower cellar, but the overall idea of named rooms with a few tables is a good one and adds to the atmosphere. I ordered a chicken chat starter and garlic chili chicken main. The starter was almost like soup with... More

The separate dining areas are a great idea and allows for a more intimate dining experience. The food was really lovely and accommodated my Vegetarian needs as I did not like the Veggie options, they made me a curry from the main menu with mixed veg, it was amazing.

The chicken tikka was cooked to perfection. A wonderful setting. Once you go down the stairs you enter a place full of individual rooms. Excellent for privacy as some of the rich and famous have already discovered. All meals perfect and staff excellent.

Visited during a weekend break after it was recommended in Bath restaurant guide. It was a little disappointing considering the price. The food was nice but felt they wanted rid of us as soon as possbile. Evening meal over in under an hour

It's a bit wierd when you walk downstairs into the bar area and there are more staff than customers. The staff were all very friendly and polite, sadly the food didn't really live up to expectations, didn't have much flavour and the rice was overcooked. It wasn't awful but I wouldn't go back.

I had a lovely meal here with my partner during a short break in Bath. The restaurant is uniquely decorated with a cosy feel. The service is very efficient and the food was delicious. We would definitely eat here again.

Great Indian food and great portions. Very tasty and aromatic. Lots of dishes to choose from. Quirky venue and very friendly helpful staff.

I've read the negative reviews and I think reviewers can be a little over cruel in their assessments. Firstly, don't come here for the look, it's very kitsch 80s Anglo Indian; for me, it's so bad its good. You'll either love the over the top Maharaja bling, or you'll not. The food was standard UK Indian food made for a... More

It was fantastic! Very polite service, food was tasty and well presented. I loved the ambience, the decor, the authentic Indian flavours, cooked with passion. I strongly recommend it. If you are not familiar with Indian food, the staff is more than happy to recommend and suggest. You can ask the chef for something mild or differently cooked, they really... More
