From the publicity & awards we'd expected an interesting menu, superbly cooked food and fresh decor. The Rajpoot disappointed on all these. Tired environment, tired food. It was like being back 30 years to how Indian restaurants were before they improved. Bath has many excellent restaurants, this isn't among them. Go elsewhere!

My son and I were visiting Bath and went for a meal here. It was really good. I could not fault it at all.

We have eaten in many Indian restaurants around the world (not in Indian unfortunately) and this was possibly the best we have experienced. The food was freshly prepared, the menu varied, and the staff efficient, and surprisingly it was very good value.

Initially I went into the wrong restaurant and turned right instead of going down the stairs. When I finally found the right place it did not disappoint. The decor is very traditional. There are lots of nooks and crannies so you can be "on your own" as a couple but there are also big spaces for larger parties. The food... More

Great food, good service and a nice, quiet, calm atmosphere. More diverse than "American" Indian restaurants. The portions were good sized so we ordered several dishes and shared, everything was excellent. Worth the effort to find it at the end of the bridge.

Going down 2 flights of stairs to find the restaurant was a bit off-putting but I need not have worried because it was busy and the staff were very attentive and friendly. The menu was a bit more diverse than your average Indian so the 5 of us went for a different dish each and shared them round - we... More

I really like indian food, but the dishes I had in this restaurant were tasteless. The food was dry and blunt. It was a disappointing experience as I expected something much better (the restaurant claims to have won prizes for its food.) I will not go again and I do not recommend it.

10 of us went for supper...we tried a variety of dishes and everyone was happy...my chicken dhansak was pretty good...the lime pickle was also better than most... The restaurant is down in the basement...2 floors down so no natural light...having said that, it made no difference to us...I would go back...

Expensive wine. Dry chicken. Ordering confused easily, we were a 14 but it all seamed a little hap hazard. Much better curry out there, maybe just got them on a bad night.
