We walked for about 45 minutes to have afternoon tea in a traditional tea room and found this tea room. We ordered scones, jam, cream and tea. I was expecting clotted cream and got whipped double cream, runny jam and scones that had more the texture of biscuits than scones, and I know my scones! Quite expensive for what it... More

Traditional tea rooms with comfortable seats and lovely decoration. Staff seemed a bit overstretched when it was busy but kept their sense of humour and were very friendly! We stopped in for a quick scone which were the best that I've had in some time (and I've made some myself recently!) and were served WARM with generous amounts of really... More

We received a lovely greeting on arrival and were shown to a traditional-style circular table with circular chairs which were very well suited to the Tea Room. The plain white cups, saucers and plates etc were also very fitting. The Afternoon Tea had plenty for two people with delicious scones and a choice of homemade jam. The choice of cakes... More

This tea room is one of the best tea rooms in Bath that I would recommend anyone to visit. Their cakes were really nice and tasty. Overall, I had a wonderful time here.

This is off the tourist trail and what a find! It is very traditional with big homemade cakes in the window and little round tables, all very quaint. The tea selection was excellent as was their range of cakes, scones and sandwiches. The Victoria sponge was amazing as was the carrot cake, the portions very generous. Service was great, very... Homemade Jam on freshly Baked scones as well as delicious homemade cake in a beautiful atmosphere. For only 7,95£ we got a Pot of tea with cream, Sugar, two scones, enough Jam and cream to put on them and two choices of their very good cake. Would go there again whenever I visit Bath!

Stopped at this quaint little tea room on my first day in bath, food was alright and drinks were alright, reasonably priced, one of the staff was very friendly and on the ball, however another seemed angry and uninterested and had a lack of customer service skills.

Forget the touristy tea houses and come to this real one, off the beaten path but close to everything. We did them all over 3 days in bath and this was the best experience. All homemade cakes and scones, simple and tasty for a great price. The Barton's cream tea of 2 scones with jam and cream, plus 2 slices... More

While we visited Bath we happened upon Barton's on the Friday afternoon. The cakes that we had with our tea and coffee were all home made - generous slices from full sized cakes displayed in the window. We decided that a return visit was a must, and on the Sunday one of our party was up for a cream tea... More
