My friend and I were looking for a "Fish and Chips" lunch, when sightseeing in Bath. A gentleman who gives river trips recommended the Rising Sun Inn, and even showed us the way to reach it. We had a most pleasant lunch in the garden, on a beautiful, warm day. The fish and chips and the glass of... read more

A great place to be on Bath Rugby match days. Ideally located only a short walk from the Rec. Good beer and excellent choice of bar snacks/meals. Very friendly.

Nice pub on a quiet side street. Not busy on a weekday around 1pm and just perfect for a tasty lunch.

Clearly has had a injection of life as this establishment wasn't particularly known for its decor and hospitality in my years around Bath - but this has clearly changed. The welcome... More

I had the sausage and mash which was lovely- the sausages were from a local farm and were the best. The landlord and landlady gave a very warm welcome and the service was second to none. A great pub with small but well looked after beer garden.

Sunday lunches are delicious and there is always a veggie option! The garden has been beautifully planted with planters and hanging... More

We were looking for somewhere to have lunch on a Thursday and entered the pub and spoke to the landlord who suggested we go into his garden. It was a delightful area. Lunch was soon delivered. As we did not want too much we just had two starters - Salmon mousse and toast, deep fried calamari with tartare and sweet... More
