Afternoon tea!

Came here for afternoon tea and it was amazing, good variety of sandwiches, the scones were lovely and still warm and the selection of cakes were fantastic! The quirky cake stand was amazing, such a different way to present it. Loved that we were in the loung it was very peaceful and relaxed. Very... read more

Went for dinner on a Saturday evening. The staff and setting were lovely but unfortunately the food didn't live up to expectations. The exception was the triple cooked chips which were delicious.

Having had a great lunch here last year, we decided to alleviate the January gloom by having dinner here on Saturday night. Whilst it wasn't a disaster in food terms - and we might have caught them on a bad day - it was distinctly average. A number of niggles took the edge off the evening -we were booked for... More

Having had a disappointing experience at this restaurant previously, we returned for a second time and I am pleased to say this proved to be a much more enjoyable experience. The food was excellent with plenty of choice, and the service was impeccable.

I've been to Bath many times, and this was the best meal, by far, I've had here. Lots of appealing choices on both the set and a la carte menus; I went with the latter because I wanted the venison. It was excellent -- perfectly cooked and good portion size. I started with a beet and goat cheese salad and... More

We had a meal here in January 2016. The food and drinks lists were great, with lots of choice. The food was really well prepared, although it was on the pricey side compared to lots of other nice restaurants in Bath. I would return though.

Booked into Abbey hotel which is superb for a weekend and for a treat booked a table at the Allium restaurant What a disappointment We had hoped to be spoilt by good food. Certainly won't eat in there again. Service was slow and food unappetising Too many faults on simple dishes For our second night here we will be eating... More

I have eaten here several times and it is currently my favourite place to eat in Bath along with the fantastic Menu Gordon Jones. Not quite sure whether I have gotten used to the quirky restaurant decor yet but the food is always delicious. Chris Staines' interpretation of the classic beetroot and goats cheese starter is inspired and a thing... More

My husband and I ate here on a recent weekend getaway to Bath, there were plus and negative points to our experience here, our welcome to the Hotel was excellent, the staff were very professional and welcoming, the styling of the Hotel and Bar was lovely and it felt like we were in a special place. We arrived on time... More
