Breakfast was excellent. We loved the winter salad with pear, Stilton, endive and walnuts. Everything we had was good and our server was a friendly, happy young man!

I have somehow overlooked this place until now - hidden as it is inside the Abbey Hotel. A friend recommended it and I was looking for a change from my usual lunchtime choices. I selected from the very reasonable set price menu. The chicken main course was particularly delicious. I'd ordered the pork belly and was served the chicken by... More

Really good breakfasts, creative menu, well worth a visit. We asked for slight adjustments to the dishes (no seafood) - this was no problem to the chef. Food worthy of its 3 rosettes.

Having read reviews and visited the website I possibly had excessive expectations. Firstly the light, airy photos on the website with upholstered chairs are out of date. The decor is a dreary terracotta with heavy plain Hessian (sack cloth) curtains. Immediately delivers a dull and oppressive atmosphere. Staff were welcoming and polite throughout. Somewhat surprised by the office style tables... More

My partner and I were staying in the hotel so decided to try the hotel restaurant, and what an experience. The staff were very friendly without being pushy, the room had been refurbished that week and was just stunning. The menu was varied and enticing, with the staff saying we could vary our choice as all the food is fresh... More

Inspiring & delicious dishes with creative combinations. Great atmosphere with very attentive & friendly staff. Everything from the starter to the mains, dessert and the wine recommended personally by the restaurant manager was spot on. Highly recommended A +

I booked this restaurant for a special occasion for myself and husband. From start to finish I have to say it was the best dining experience ever! The flavours and presentation were beyond compare, cocktails were aplenty and were tailored to our taste. Nothing was too much trouble for "Justine" the fabulous assistant restaurant manager, she honestly made us feel... More
