Our favourite coffeehouse in Bath

Great, reliable, dark, smooth coffee and an amazing selection of cakes including THE BEST almond croissants in town. It also has a lovely, laid back atmosphere which is best enjoyed outside of the really busy periods. We far prefer to sit inside (upstairs) so it's advisable to pop up and check that... read more

Super quality bread pud, staff slightly snotty though very polite, not going to joke with you, only speak BBC English, rather like Upstairs in Upstairs Downstairs. Really nice upstairs seating. The quality of cakes and teas is excellent. I do recommend.

We had lunch here on both days we were visiting Bath. It's good value good food with efficient service and not in the easiest of premises (lots of going up and down stairs) Slight criticism that both vegetarian choices included Goats cheese - why is it that everyone thinks vegetarians favourite cheese is smelly-sock goats cheese? They have a little... More

Delicious cakes and pies - yummies smoothies - excellent tea selection - authentic Italian coffee Located right in the centre of Bath, this coffee place is a hot spot for tourists, locals and students. Tastefully decorated, very friendly service. My hot spot in Bath

Although the service here is a little slow the food is. Well priced and there is plenty of it. The drinks were hot but the almond croissant was light fluffy and very almondy. Sitting outside was ok but you have to contend with pigeons and seagulls. It doesn't help that there is a person who regularly feed the pigeons nearby.

My immediate response on entering the coffee house was positive. All cakes and pastries were on the customer side of the counter. Initially,I thought that it was a good idea, until someone arrived and coughed and sneezed over the cakes!!!! Nevertheless, we made our cake selection-away from the "contaminated" cakes- and ordered a hot drink each. I was surprised that the... More

This cafe is just opposite the Roman Baths. Ok, it is a tad expensive, but the food was very good. Expect it to be busy and you need to find a table, and possibly chairs, before ordering - but that should be fun rather than just a drag. We had three excellent panini sandwiches, a tea, a latte and (a... More

I went in for a coffee and a slice of cake today for a rest from Christmas shopping. I asked for a Cappuccino and a slice of cake. I was told quite bluntly to get the cake myself with the plates and napkins provided, I thought this was ridiculous considering it came to a total of £6 - I would... More

This is a lovely cafe! They've done a great job with the decor....it looks really rustic and cosy inside! I had a mocha and croissant when I visited. The mocha was nice and a good size, the croissant was great too! There is a lovely upstairs seating area with windows looking down on the street.....perfect for people watching! The first... More
