Wow, Wow, Wow!!

We visited Bath last year and had a cream tea at this lovely little café. We did not think the previous visit could be surpassed, but how wrong you can be. We were greeted by an extremely polite and attentive young man and shown to a quirky and spotlessly clean table. Again we went for the cream... read more

Went in for a tea and snack or maybe lunch and sat down. The lady working their totally ignored us went to the back, filled up a dog bowl with water and took it outside. On her return another customer walked in the shop - she commenced to take his order still totally ignoring us - we left!

Sorry it was not a great experience for you but next time maybe you would like to come along when we are open (the darkness would normally be a give away). More

Mad Hatter's Tea Party serves the best cream tea in town. Since the schedule was very thight, so I only had the cream tea. Everything - the tea, milk, strawberry jam, cream and scone - were very nice, not overly

Turned up on Sunday morning for breakfast at 10.30am (website says they open at 10am) and walk in to be told they're not open yet and not serving breakfast. Great, I'll come back at lunch time for breakfast then.

Ricky, disappointed that you have given a negative comment and low rating for a service that you never received. We had a private booking on Sunday, and therefore were unable to open for breakfast. More

We stopped here for a quick lunch as we were drawn in by the cute little tables and chairs outside. It was a sunny day so we sat outside and had our lunch. The baguette I had was fresh and crunchy and my partners ham and cheese panini was also very tasty. Our lunch cost £14 with tea and coffee... More

Visited Bath on sunday.....such a beautiful place even in the rain. We wanted a little tearoom to dry off...and stumbled across The Mad Hatters....lovely hot chocolate...with marshmellows....flake and cream.

If you're looking for great coffee, GREAT pastries and a great breakfast this is the place to go to. Small and intimate with seating area in a square outside the restaurant. Very popular restaurant judging from the queue that never stopped growing. Will definitely visit again especially for the chocolate and berry flapjacks.

This was the loveliest shop from the outside. But the lady inside was so unfriendly, I wondered what her deal was (does she hate tourists/ Foreigners? Did someone just die?). I needed to go to the toilet but bought something (though not hungry) 'beforehand' to make up for using her toilet. I still got an angry face for asking to... More
