Menu Gordon Jones is just one of those "do not miss" experiences. We had recently dined at a brilliant Michelin starred restaurant, and Menu Gordon Jones was right up to that standard, but less expensive. Lovely intimate surroundings and direct contact with the Head Chef made all the difference, but the quality of food and the wine flight were outstanding!... More

We read a lots of great reviews about this restaurant and struggled to book a table in advance when we planned a spa weekend in Bath. On the day, the amazing Gainsborough concierge team managed to get us in last minute though and boy what a treat it was! From the moment, we walked through the door (greeted by Gordon... More

This is an extraordinary and exceptional restaurant. It's loctated on a drab bend outside Bath's town centre, where the rents are low. Across from the doorway is a small open kitchen where the chefs are at work. To the left there are modern tables with light tops. The welcome is warm and instantaneous. There is a wine list but no... How this restaurant has not obtained a Michelin star for the quality and the ingenuity of the food is a mystery. Whilst we were in Bath in November 2015 we went for dinner to the Bath Priory Hotel and the whole experience was so poor I wonder how they managed to obtain their Michelin Star. Menu Gordon Jones was on... More

I have eaten in Michelin Star restaurants that didn't even come close to the food Gordon creates. Every plate of food is beautiful & full of brilliant & surprising combinations of flavours. The kitchen is open plan and amazingly small, I don't know how they do it! The wine flight was fantastic too. I can't recommend it highly enough

We were incredibly fortunate to get a table here on a Saturday night without booking six months in advance! It is a small restaurant (20 covers) so gets very booked up. It is run on fairly simple lines - front of house being managed by one super human waiter/wine expert whose father used to run a 3 star Michelin establishment... More

Mr Jones serves some of the best food I have ever been privileged to sample. Fantastically clever flavour combinations and based upon some really interesting ingredients. Every mouthful is a voyage of discovery ... Just trust the chef! It's a tasting menu here - so no choices - see picture ... I don't know how often it changes. Chef serves... More

The food is SO good here, it's not surprising you have to book months in advance for a seating! We had dishes which I could not fault in any way, no set menu which is brilliant as there's an element of surprise. It was all fantastic and the staff are great too. Highly recommend!

It seems you have to book up to 3 months in advance for friday/saturday evenings and a month for weekday evenings but such we were able to get in on the same day of booking. The lunch consisted of a tasting style several courses. Modern cuisine. Really good - it wouldn't surprise me if it got a michelin star at... More
