We have been traveling for 3 weeks and discovered this amazing takeaway a block from our rental. The food is locally sourced, lovingly prepared, and ready to go home and pop into the oven. We have had moussaka, Italian meatballs, beef bourgonoine, lamb Josh rogan, and potatoes dauphinoise. The prices are reasonable - 7 to 9 GBP for a serving... More

Having visited Cavendish Cooks multiple times, it's safe to say, it's amazing. The food is to die for, Nancy and Rebecca are quite simply, the best cooks about Bath! Great to just pop in and pick up a homemade treat for dinner/cheat at a dinner party! No one would know it's that amazing.

Gorgeous little kitchen with scrummy homemade comfort food cooked to perfection. Two very talented ladies at work here and I love the fact that I can pick up their meals from their shop freezer and take them home to cook if I'm feeling too lazy too cook -very indulgent! Favourite dishes of mine include their lamb tagine and sticky toffee... More

We bought several of Cavendish Cooks' take-away vegetarian meals (for a much needed lazy weekend) and have to say that we were very impressed with each of them, price wise they were very reasonable for such good quality and each meal was simply delicious! We do eat fish too, so will be trying out a few of the other lines... More

Sadly, the drop-in lunches aren't happening any more, but the lovely food is still available for you to buy and eat at home.

I dropped in for a 'what's cooking' lunch - lovely tasty food on a cold winter's day with care taken over the accompanying vegetables. I could only have wished some of the others eating at the long tables had been a bit more sociable - they appeared not very different from me, but never even acknowledged my presence! I'm not... Having followed Cavendish on Twitter simply because I loved the concept, it took me an embarrassingly long time (and almost a parking ticket thanks to road works) to finally try them out. But I wasn't disappointed. Opting for their truly delicious home cooked lasagne for my Valentine's night off cooking, I could not have been more pleased. A sumptuous, filling... More

we have all become accustomed to judging food by the highest standards of cuisine with the celebrity chefs and all the programmes associated with them. Here, in one of the quietest trading streets in Bath, those standards have been brought to reality. This reviewer is local, knows this area well, and knows a winning concept has been born after years... More

I am so pleased that Trip Advisor have at last checked out Cavendish Cooks so I can review it. Here goes - We stumbled across this restaurant on a short stay in Bath, we couldn't belive the board that said "Come inside and enjoy our Boeuf Bourguignon or Coq au Vin with crusty bread and a glass of house wine...
