Indian Food, Are You Kidding?

Prior to visiting the Mint Room I would have said that I'd rather eat soap than eat Indian food. The elegant presentation and darn right flavorfulness of the Mint Room's dishes has made me a believer that Indian food can be great! I had a red curry which was outstanding.

I expected it to be busy on a Saturday evening. Our table for 4 booked for 7.30pm was one of the last to be occupied. The young and superficially attentive waitress, who insisted on calling us all by our first names, was in fact gormless. The food was try-too-hard self-consciously 'different', but interesting and flavoursome, if bizarrely presented. The manager... More

I visited this establishment with three other friends early on Saturday evening. The staff were very welcoming and the food was 100% fresh & well cooked. A nice place to eat & I will certainly visit again !

Since I was taking the family for a meal when I don't see them often it mattered a great deal to me that we should all enjoy the experience. It needed to be able to satisfy both meat-eaters and vegetarians. We chose the place largely because of its proximity to my mum's home in Twerton (she is elderly and can't... More

Delicious food - no complaints there. The poppadoms and chutneys are to die for. I thought the service could be improved though I did get a free dessert first time I visited. The waiters seem to not have focus on individual tables - so you don't know who to approach for assistance.

Very tasty, contemporary Indian cuisine with a very pleasant ambiance. They have an excellent array of new interpretations of classic dishes. I'd certainly recommend and would happily return.

Enjoyed a lovely but expensive dinner with our family. Good service and the food was excellent. A little pricey but worth a visit. Would have given it 5 stars if we had some change out of £100.

We were sat down and waited 10 minutes before menus were brought to us. I had asked a blonde server with spiky hair who could not for the life of her work out what I was asking her for, them she just wandered off in a daze. We ordered drinks and food. We had the crab cakes and onion Bahajis.... More

I've visited this place a few times since moving to Bath. The first visit, last year, was quite good and I left a review accordingly. However, all the subsequent visits have fluctuated a lot in quality. I've had 1 other good visit, a few forgettable visits, and 1 rather disappointing visit. Having tried several of their dishes, the dosa &... More
