Quirky place but lovely food and fantastic service

A random discovery whilst wondering around the back streets of Bath, this is a hidden Gem. On the ground floor you have a wonderful off licence selling wines from around the world, local ale. A fantastic selection of whiskey to suit all budgets and an increasing selection of unusual... read more

This was my first experience of the Tasting Rooms. Working in the wine trade I was eager to sample what was on offer and was not disappointed. The wine list is interesting, very well priced and even the cheapest bottles tasted good. Between five of us we ordered a host of the tapas style food and without exception, it was... More

Set in an obscure location down a side street off the main street through Bath, the Tasting Room is located on the first floor above its shop of the same name. The entrance is through a doorway which could be so easily missed or passed by, without a glance (especially when the shop is closed). The restaurant itself is very... More

Wandering around Bath as two weekend tourists makes you peckish, so we chanced upon the narrow entrance up the stairs to this bijou and friendly café. The lunchtime offer of game stew with a glass of wine included was good value. It came hot, fresh and tasty with curly kale and mash - just what was needed on a cool... More

We found this place by pure chance one evening on our way back to the hotel and decided to bob in for a night cap - we just loved it as soon as we walked in tiny, intimate candle lit bar with only a few tables but could quite easily be packed out which would give a great atmosphere we... More

Based on a single visit with my wife at the end of a Friday afternoon in Bath, this quirky little venue must be one of the most difficult places to review that I have come across! My wife had phoned earlier in the day and was told there was no need to book, but on arrival the small dining area... More

Went in here for a lunch on a Saturday afternoon and it was such a delight. We ordered 6 dishes between 3 of us and they were all absolutely delicious. The service was excellent and the staff were very knowledgeable! We also had two puddings, both of which were lovely. Great atmosphere, great food and great staff. Couldn't recommended it... More

We called in the Tasting Rooms - as a break from lots of walking around - for light refreshments, consisting of... Cappuccino, Tea and Victoria Sponges. Their specialities are spirits and wine (the array of Gin was amazing) and have an upstairs wine-bar/café which serves Mediterranean dishes, as a merchant any drinks you've tried can be bought on the premises.... We'd booked for a whisky tasting which starts at 7pm. So, prior to that we had a table at 5.30 and had delicious tapas and a wondrous prosecco. Therefore, the whisky tasting came as a brilliant end to an already fun evening. Led by Ivor, the tasting session was a stimulating time with lots of learning about the drink in... More

I can only add my praise to everyone else's : the service is empathetic and professional, the food generous and delicious, the atmosphere pleasantly cosy and adult, and the prices incredible for Bath(£11.50 for a gorgeous plate of whole panfried plaice with dilled potatoes and a cream-caper sauce, plus a glass of wine) . Our plaice was taking a long time... More
