Went here for a quick weekday lunch- it was very busy and we were lucky to get a table in the glorious sunshine. I had the tart and salad deal for £7.50- it is quite expensive for what it is (smallish portions), but it was utterly delicious, seriously yummy! Perfect for vegetarians :) Coffee is also good there. The service... More

came here for lunch with my mum- we have been before, and did not have a problem. We asked for salad plates - at the counter there was an array, if diminishing, amount of salad type dishes - we were hoping for a large plate of salad - £8.50. what we got was anything but. if anything it looked like... We came across Sam's Kitchen whilst strolling down the street and stopped for coffee and cake. There was a wonderful display of fresh homemade cakes as well as salads and quiches. It was a bit early for lunch for us other wise we would have stayed but we were so impressed by the freshness of the food we went back... More

We had a mixed "salad plate with meat"; generous portions of at least 6 different creative delightful salads. Topped with generous slices of thinly sliced roast beef with a creamy light horse-radish creme. It was one of the best lunches I've ever had. Great (strong) espresso and a wonderful assortment of desserts. The place is small and packed; it wouldn't... More

went for lunch and found excellent selection of home baked quiche and interesting salads all freshly made. tables with a view of the street in this Bohemian quarter of Bath. Piped music not to my taste but fair value and good honest food. They also have a branch at the Glove Factory if you are visiting the National Trust Gardens... More

Stumbled on Sam's and a quick look at the food counter confirmed that we had to go back for lunch. It is small with very limited seating one big communal table with other tables squeezed around. Wonderfully cooked and fresh. Interesting salads, quiche, hot dish & lovely cakes Interesting premises probably an old workshop. License with good wine & cider... More

Really enjoyed my visit here and found the staff very helpful. They brought the wrong selection of salads to us initially and soon realised, expressing "sorry, you said no raisins and no fennel" and it was soon corrected. Really delicious food but did find it a little on the expensive side, I understand that's it all fresh good quality ingredients... More

This is one of my favourite lunch spots - there are many great places in Bath but this place is brilliant. I've been loads of times and each time the food is fantastic - I had goats cheese tart and jerusalem artichoke salad today and it was lovely - the salad included raw asparagus tips which were so fresh -... Best salad and coffee we've had in Bath. The portions are small but high quality. And the chocolate brownie is ridiculously good.

My husband and I just spent our honeymoon in Bath and enjoyed mooching round the shops and seeing the local sights. While we were doing so we came across Sam's Kitchen and decided to pop in there for lunch. We were greeted by friendly staff and had a quiche/tart along with 3 salads which was delicious, fresh, healthy and just... More
