I have lived in Bath for sometime, have been to Sams a number of times and with the number of coffee shops available, would I go to Sams for tea or coffee again, absolutely not. Firstly, I refuse to eat here, even though the food, cakes etc look absolutely delicious, because it is simply over priced. I am vegetarian and... More

Regular stop for coffee and a cake. Friendly atmosphere, I love the music and the staff and friendly and helpful. It is small which encourages conversations with other customers which can be fun. Great cakes, good coffee - cannot comment on the food but it looks good. Well worth a visit when in the bohemian Walcott Street.

I've been a fan of this place for a while now but it has been some time since my last visit. The atmosphere yesterday was relaxed and friendly and the food as ever PHENOMENAL. Yesterday's lamb absolutely blew me away as I'm not normally a lover of the stuff. It was absolutely packed full of flavour and amazingly tender. The... More

As a regular but infrequent visitor to Bath I have always made sure that a stop at Sam's kitchen is on my to-do list. However, I was very disappointed by my lunch there a couple of weeks ago. Whilst everything looked as delicious as usual the standards have obviously dropped. My friend's salad plate had three small scoops of salad... More

Had lunch there today with a friend. Salad and savoury tart was disappointing taste-wise plus really expensive for small quantity. Worse value still was the trio of salads, comprising a small amount served on a tiny plate. Discussed this with nice guy serving but he appeared unconcerned and simply disagreed with our opinion. Not good way to deal with it!... More

Thank you so much for your feedback. I am sorry that you felt that the portion size was not relative to the cost of the dish. Our produce is sourced daily from local suppliers and the salads are packed with high quality ingredients which isn't always the cheapest option but we are keen to keep our food fresh and exciting.... So I went upstairs expecting a normal restroom/toilet. Right at the top of the winding stairs there was a continental / Mexican swing half door and behind it the loo. Your top half can be seen at all times I jest not so this toilet is not disabled friendly and not for those with a fear of heights. However, the... More

Hi Brian Thank you so much for your lovely review. Adie was very pleased to have wowed you with his delicious cakes! Our fresh vegetables are display at the front of the shop as an extension of the kitchen pantry for the chef to use in his daily lunch menu but you are more than welcome to purchase some if... More

Stopped by chance on a walk past Sam's Kitchen in Walcot Street and had a great lunch. The salad was fresh and the pickles different and tasty. Cold meet was simple but again delicious. This is a small place with outside tables on the pavement as well as a mixture of table types inside. The food is on display and... More

There aren't enough characters per review to adequately describe how much we loved Sam's Kitchen. We had the entire place for an evening meal - family service style. From working with one million food requests, to allowing us to play our own music, decorate the restaurant, put branding on their serving stuff and not wince at our merry making, they... More

Fantastic cafe tucked into wonderful Walcot Street. Delicious food, good coffee, friendy & helpful staff, outdoor and indoor tables, wifi (that works too!) and a great atmosphere. Love this place!
