Trying out English tea time -- We like it!

Our teenage daughter selected this spot. The English tea here consisted of three layers of yummy cakes and sandwiches. It was a nice lunch for the three of us! The little sandwiches were so cute, tasty and varied. The small petit fours were just the right size. And an excellent cup of coffee. The... read more

We had a coffee and pastry here and were disappointed with the food. Black Forest Gateau and Raspberry Tart were dry and bland, not made in the french tradition of both flavour and quality. We think there are better options in Bath for light meals.

I've seen Patisserie Valerie in various cities but I'd never been in. I recently visited the one in Bath and had a pot of tea and double chocolate gateau. The cake slice was a very generous portion and the patisserie had lots of cakes and pastries on offer. They also look to do a lovely afternoon tea, which I would... More

A nice cosy place for afternoon tea. The combination was very good and tasty. The displayed individual pastries look amazing.

Brunch while visiting Bath. The Eggs Benedict was a failure; the eggs overcooked, the ham hard, the Hollandaise much too thick. The Espresso was good, the service fine.

Stopped in for afternoon high tea for two for £25. The service was excellent the teas made with loose leaf tea and coffees that were a bit too strong. The sandwiches were nice the scones a wee bit dry but the mini cakes were delicious! Good value for afternoon tea around the city and a warm comfortable atmosphere. Would go... More

Untidy, dishevelled in need of a clean. Cakes looked and tasted amazing. Tea served in a chipped teapot, two staff who were hopeless and could not co-ordinate two teas and cake despite taking them to the cake we wanted they still got out wrong.

A really good selection of drinks and cakes. (There were other things on the menu but I didn't notice them!) The staff were very efficient and attentive. The cake I had - chocolate mousse - was delicious though perhaps a little too large as I felt very full afterwards!

The staff were lovely but the food was average and we didn't get too much of it, we had the afternoon tea for two its fair to say my partner wasn't impressed with the amount of food, especially when we have had afternoon tea elsewhere such as The Polls Tea Rooms in Marlborough where the scones are as big as... Very nice restaurant with excellent staff. The smoked salmon salad was very good indeed with a surprising amount of salmon! The soup of the day was also unusual ( carrot and something) but both dished were great. On another note the " one toilet for all" was maybe insufficient. If we were here for any longer we would have definitely... More
