Large party looked after well

Fun (and patient!) owners looked after 9 of us for a friend's birthday. The food was hearty, rustic (obviously) and full of flavour. Specials ran out over the evening and were replaced on the fly with the tiny kitchen's next creation. In this day of over sanitised and costed out dishes from chain... read more

We ate here on a Saturday night in early February and chose the restaurant based on Tripadvisor reviews - based on these reviews we had very high hopes for both the food and the hospitality. On the whole, I wouldn't go as far as to say I was disappointed by Rustico, but I certainly wasn't overwhelmed. The food was nice,... More

This was my second visit, the service and food is amazing ,as it had been on our previous visit. We were given a warm and friendly welcome and our coats were hung up for us. Then offered water while we made our choices. During the meal our wine and water were topped up. All three courses, were a delicious, flavoursome... More

From the moment we walked in we were warmly welcomed by the owner. We were shown to our table and then we had the owner go through the specials board, enthusiastically telling us what was on offer. All of which sounded great! We were then offered some water, which was continuously topped up all night. This I thought was a... More

We have been to this bistro on about three occasions now. It's very snug with a micro kitchen, but the food is fantastic. To me it's how food should be, very onhest, just simple earthy food, with the most fabulous flavours. Would recommend this very highly, but remember it's not called rustic bistro for any other reason than its rustic.

We had two great meals here. On both occasions the food was outstanding and the service spot-on. We had olives/breads for starters, two mains, two desserts, and a bottle of wine for £50. The meals are of a very high standard with vegetarian options available. The sorbet and gelato were amazing! Highly recommended.

We booked at the last minute during a weekend break in Bath and found a lovely Italian restaurant with friendly, unobtrusive and efficient service. The decor is probably unchanged from when the place first opened but this adds to the charm. The Lasagne and garlic bread are so delicious I can't wait to visit again.

Marvellous Italian restaurant. Small and intimate and Darix and his team always look after us beautifully. Like having your own Italian kitchen on your doorstep. The garlic bread, Cioppino, Fettucini Rustico and the Banoffee pie are all to die for!
